It's nice to see that the mourners have brought out their best tracksuits and baseball caps for the funeral of another gypsy queen.

That floral tribute of the TV is so touching too. Touching cloth, but touching nonetheless.

Shes wiv da angles now.
You couldn't wish for more comedy gold that having Transit fking tippers in the photos of the funeral.

One can only hope that the striking irony would be that someone "disassembles" the grave to resurface their kitchen worktops.

That'll be because their traditional NE Hampshire haunt (the fields behind Motts Motorcycles) have been built on now, and the verges surrounding Sainsburys have all got 4' earthwork berms in place too.

Members of the "Community" are on R4 now bleating about prejudice & racism.

The reason for their standing in the wider UK society seems to have completely passed them by.

Of course, the presenter also seems to have forgotten to raise the subject.

Funnily enough, nothing mentioned from #womanshour

wink

From my local paper ...

"In 2015 and 2016, just over £47,000 had to be spent by Hull City Council to clean up rubbish which was left piled up on illegal campsites set up on council-owned land."

"since the start of 2014, the council has paid £46,028 in legal costs to remove travellers from sites across the city."

Per earlier in the thread, in the West Midlands area it's a million quid a year.

Meanwhile, in Cambridgeshire, local residents are told to stay away from the local park that some travellers have moved on to: http://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/news/people-told-s...
