Always best to spread farmyard manure before rain.

Wow, we have some utter scum near us. Rocked on up to an unguarded field behind a wood next to our street.

They were 'partying' until 3am last night. Constant shouting and screaming. Generators running.

The wood is parish land, looked after by volunteers, with a short path and a stream with bridges over it. They've pulled out all the marker posts, trashed the bridges and as for the toilet habits!!

The land owners aren't interested. The police aren't interested. One of the gardens in the street has been smashed up. All on cctv. Lads around 10 years old, with hammers.

One of the field neighbours has been supplying them with water. He fell out with his street when he started a fire which burned out of control during the hot spell. Took down many fences and burned 8 acres. Fire brigade broke down field gate to get in because he obstructed them from going through his land. He was arrested at the time.

Out of control dogs.

Removal process hasn't started yet.

Nightmare. When Corbyn gets in, by law you will be obliged to supply them with free electricity, hot and cold running water, so at least the stolen generators won’t be making a racket.

The traveller friendly neighbour has been calling the council telling them they have to supply water and toilets by law already rolleyes

Turns out he claims he owns the land around the broken gate. He's also threatened legal action if the council attempt to build a gate. Suspect he's left the gate unrepaired intentionally.

Sounds fishy. Just hope he doesn’t sell them the land, or more likely, threaten to sell it to them unless someone gives him a certain figure for it.

The field is next to a spring and easily floods. Roll on tomorrow!

I love living in Northern Ireland. Partly because it's just a nice place to live, but also if our travelling friends set up where they aren't welcome, the remaining paramilitaries are quick to get them shifted. No "traveller" wants to mess with a load of armed fellas who will take dirty money to move the caravans on...

In terms of passing the buck it sounds like the article I posted earlier in the thread.

Council not interested. Land owner not interested. Local MP telling everyone he will talk to people about it. Nobody gives a st.

Anyhow Pug, I thought you were dead. The weather thread seemed quiet. smile

4 days in our French cottage last week (no web access), drove home for 11pm Sunday, taxi at 9am Mon to fly to Prague for a week of training.

Wife at home panicking about the new neighbours.

Probably also have to hand over any spare daughters that you have laying around at home.

I hear car horns from the field. Maybe they've recognised the situation they're in and are bugging out.

Need to go and check...

It cost my brother 15k to remove travellers from land legitimately.

I went on a local (Portugal) gypsy camp yesterday and removed a pit bull that had been tied up with a bit of electrical cable. Cops were called, they hung around outside while I went in with a couple of other volunteers.

Gypsies less than impressed but not too much they could do really. They get told I'm taking specific dogs and thats it. These are dark skinned romany type rather than Irish Honkeys...
