Only a month to go now, and today I received a letter from PH explaining about the evening 'reception' and dinner, with fellow '200' members.

The list of 'gifts' I can choose from was quite overwhelming ( and very generous, I must say !!).

I'm so looking forward to it. Its going to be epic.

Are they going to delay the first reception event so that you have someone else to go along with? If they have it when you turn '200' I fear you may be in there with just Haymarket staff - bit of a sausage fest really! I can't see Petrol Ted coming along........

How many members 'older' than you are still active?

I still have ages to go and still a youngster compared to many BUT you have to give it to PH and the mods and Ted and current owner how many people have stayed on this forum for so long

I've graced many forums over the years but many have been specific bike or car forums and once I have moved on so have I with the forum's.

But people still come back to PH

I was passed over for a promotion at work recently - found out it was due to only being a member of the 100 month club - a 200'er beat me. Ah well - you have to respect dedication.

Still a month before I even get to the 100 club.

I've received the details of the paid to post tiers, so I'm still working out if it is better to post lots of inane drivel, much like MyBrianHurts, or more infrequent, but detailed and high quality posts.

And looking at the OP thread longevity rates, I can't imagine how much JTW has earned over the years for Ambiwlans?!

How did the interviewer know they were a member of the 200 club? Special handshake? Pin badge? Or did they just know from the persons self confidence?

Neither - from what I've learnt it was their jaded appearance, overt pedantry and their constant reference to women as "snakes with tits".

Actually I'm in some kind of serious mode here (It's Friday so give me some slack!).

Would it be nice idea to have a small PH smiley badge in gold for 200+month members and silver for 100+month members. When ordering you give your member name and some kind of proof that it is you before they supply them and inn return you are given a small discount against things. A bit like an OAP concession.

Or proudly display them at meetings.

Or similar but placed below your member name when you post.

I've got some way to go!.
