Off topic a bit but isn’t this going to be the future? Those tats that maybe look cool as a 20/30 year old start to look a bit silly as you age. The pic above is a classic example, looks good for her age until you see her arms, then screams, I wanna be cool.
Almost everyone has a leg or sleeve tat these days so seeing ‘elderly’ people with extensive tattoos will become the norm.
Tattoo removal will be big business, probably franchises in every high street Almost everyone has a leg or sleeve tat these days so seeing ‘elderly’ people with extensive tattoos will become the norm.

I think she looks great.I'm happy to admit that I am baffled by tattoos, it's inconceivable to me that anyone would do something like that to themself.

I think this is something people that don't get tattoos always struggle with; they aren't for everyone's viewing pleasure, they are for the person that has them...and they don't care about other people's opinions.Almost everyone has a leg or sleeve tat these days so seeing ‘elderly’ people with extensive tattoos will become the norm.

If they're for the person that has them and not the 'viewer' how come the tattooed person can only see most of them properly by looking at themselves in a photo taken by someone else ? They're usually upside down or back to front from their view or even in places they can't see at all trails said:

I still don’t think they look particularly good as you get older. They start to blur and fade and generally look a bit of a mess.

Because you know you have them, and you carry the experience with you...its quite hard to articulate, and ironically the more you have, the more you only see the gaps Richtea1970 said:
For clarification, I have tattoos!

I like the weathered pieces I have that have been exposed to the sun, as much as the pristine bits that are never seen...I guess personal preference, and maybe how heavily tattooed you are?
