Could say the same thing about owning a lambo or any other sports car capable of doing more than 70

Anyway, out in Japan at the mo. They've got some hand made oni tigers for around 200. Also found a shop selling the limited edition jordans/off whites etc. Yours for a min. £1k.

The Japanese seem to love their trainers though
Where in Japan are you? Currently in Fukuoka myself probably until Monday

Are Vans comfortable? I've never had a pair. Only reason I ask is because they are similar to Converse All Stars and I think they are the most uncomfortable trainers on earth.

Only Vans I have are the Sk8 Hi MTE DX NASA.

I find them perfectly comfortable, but then I find All-Stars comfy too, so I might not be the right person to ask!

Btw, ever worn rock shoes for climbing? Now THAT'S an uncomfortable shoe hehe

It's a pair of SK8 Hi MTE I'm considering actually.

Converse are too narrow for me and toe box really cramped. Awful things. My feet must be wide, I guess. Are Vans wider?

Got a couple of sale purchases today, one from Size very pleased with them

Also a pair of Ultra Techs from End but not sure if they're staying or not.

That’s the Ultra Techs I’m eyeing up - what don’t you like about them?

Yeah I’ve been a few times, i would say you go to expensive places in London!

There are some really nice trainer shops, but unfortunately i dont have time to do anything this time as trying to get back for wife’s birthday and trying to stay on UK time as need to not suffer from jet lag!

I'm the same as the other poster, got a couple of pairs of vans and find them comfortable enough. But then I also find converse ok. converse/vans do take a bit of 'breaking in' or moulding to your feet. but once done they are great.

also since converse were bought out by nike, some of the classic all stars/ chuck taylors now have the nike 'lunarlon' insole, which makes them way comfier.

They are the ones I've got. The edges of the toe box inside the shoe rub on my toes terribly. Will give me blisters if I wore them for any length of time.

The later Nike/Lunar Converse are horrific comfort wise. I chuck-ed (see what i did there wink ) mine in the bin, my pre Nike Converse are super comfy.

Interesting thanks.

These just arrived.

Most comfortable AF1's I've ever worn. The tongue is padded more and there's padded neoprene lining too.

Really happy with them.

ZX500 RM a Size special apparently. I'd never seen them before but they're in the sale section for £50.

Honestly there's nothing wrong with them, I just preferred the shape of the others when I tried them on back to back. Knowing how bad I am at returning things they'll probably end up staying smile
