Yup, drives me potty. Cant wait until we move house in a month or so. I might pay for a couple of nights away for her so she will ps off and not drive me up the wall.

Don't leave your car with her or she'll drive that up the wall

How about when you finally get out the door and are driving along she announces that as well as what you thought you were doing you will now be doing something completely inappropriate for your clothing or footwear.
This will be announced just after you have passed the turn off to go to the venue of the new activity, but she will want to go their first as it would be stupid to do it the other way round and you're a moron for suggesting it.

Exactly that. I don't know why but they just seem to fanny about rather than doing what they are supposed to be doing.

She has improved her punctuality though, still takes her 3 hrs to get ready (and she looks the same) but she knows to be at the door by 8 or I'll just leave without her and she can make her own way there.
Seems to be a lot of wives waiting on the doorstep on this thread. Women faff, it what makes them. No faffing = not complete.
Let them faff. And what a good word faffing is. Sums it all up, really.

When mine tells me she's ready and stood by the door - then I get ready.

Oh dear, mine is exactly the same.

Eg This morning, we walk to the car, i load it up,get in,turn around and she has gone back inside!!! I mean, she was right there! God's knows what she went for, i loaded everything we needed.

And her purse/phone/cards etc seem to be in a constant state of disappearing. She can never find the damn things, despite having them in her hand 30 seconds?ago. And i will always have her cards in my pocket, despite handing them back. When she finds them in her purse somehow it was my fault!

And going into the supermarket," we just need 1 thing", so i don't bother with a basket. 10 minutes later my arms are full with the crap she decides she now needs!

Aaargh, i need a lie down...Or a hitman and a good alibi.

Mine always has to go upstairs whenever we are just about to go out of the door; god knows what for.
Oh God! Yes, that too!
It'll be for a wee. Ooh, just need to go for a wee (after she's changed into button jeans and put her coat on and buttoned it up) before we go, then she'll need (at least) one when you're out, and will be absolutely bursting by the time you pull up to your front door later.

There is another one my OH does.

I'll get ready to go out at the appointed hour and stand in my coat by the front door. She will fanny about in the traditional manner, until I give up and collapse on the sofa.

At which point she will appear and say "well I'm ready!"
Oh yes. That's all too familiar.

If I'm lucky, we can manage to get out of the house with only 2 wee stops before the front door closes. Its usually go for a wee, put shoes/jacket/bag etc on, then another wee.

Roadtrips are a fking pain in the arse as we can never get any distance before having to stop for yet another wee. 50 miles - oh must stop. FFS. No wonder it takes so long to get anywhere.

When you've got to plan a route based on where the next pisser is, you've already lost.

I've also done the whole thing of sitting back down on the sofa and putting the TV back on, that earned me 2 days of stony looks golden silence hehe

mine faffs incessantly.

an example from today. i tend to do the majority of the cooking and she is physically unable to just enter the kitchen and eat the plate of food put in front of her. she will try and arrange drinks even though i said i will do it, faff around cutting up the kids food into smaller pieces, blowing on it even though its lukewarm, deciding certain condiments are needed etc etc. she then proceeds to eat much slower than the rest of us (after already starting last) resulting in us all being finished before her and the kids acting up because we cant get the desserts out. every time. aaarrgghhh!

getting ready drives me insane. if she was completely left to her own devices without any time constraints she could spend 90 minutes getting ready, coming downstairs with hair up, a hoody on and a pair of jeans. aaarrrgghhh!

But I LOVE it when it is HER who has to be somewhere at a certain time, and I am driving.

The tables are turned, revenge is sweet, any hint or the slightest notion pointing towards asking me to hurry is music to my ears, as I carefully obey every traffic law known to man, and some that have not been written yet, and keep below speed limits better than my dad ever did.

And just waiting for the opportunity to mention they maybe she should learn to get ready with SOME semblance of planning.

And all with a big st eating grim on my face. biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Me "what time do do we need to be at the event?"
Her "8pm"
Me "ok, we need to leave at 7.30 then"

Next day, 7pm
Her "you ready to go"
Me "Nope, you've been in the bathroom and we are not leaving until 7.30"
Her "We have to go now we are picking up Doris" (who lives 10 minutes the other way)
Me "ffs"

Which reminds me of another thing, collecting up a bloke from somewhere. They are ready waiting, in the car and away 20s tops.
Women, stop all get out have a chat a cup of tea probably, then a wee and are still not ready. Why are you having a chat you're going to be in a car together for an hour?
