Seems the Steve Heath's ECUMATE is no longer available....is there a replacement / other product readily available that will read the ECU codes on my Griff? Or is there a software product & cable that I can use on a laptop versus a dedicated code reader that will work on a 14cux ECU?
Thanks in advance!

Go look for RoverGauge in the classifieds.
Software is free but you will be buying the lead.

Works very well.

I have the ECU Mate and it is a useful tool but the Rover Guage IMHO is much better as it shows everything on a single page and also shows the ECU mapping which could be very useful

I have only just purchased Rover Guage from the PH Classified and at £35 it is a bargain.

You do require a special lead to interface a PC to the diagnostic socket on the TVR loom, and this is not simply a lead but has electronics incorporated to provide the interface. The special lead, the Rover guage software and very comprehensive instructions are included.

One advantage of Rover guage is that it will run on older operating systems like XP and Vista, I have an old XP laptop which is a very inexpensive platform that can be dedicated to Rover guage if necessary.

If you are a new owner of a Chimera or Griffith this will prove a very worthwhile purchase and it could save you a fortune in garage bills by narrowing down faults if they occur.

The main reason being if you are not familiar with the workings of your new car or are just not very competent working on cars in general you can bring your Rovergauge results here and we will have a better chance of diagnosing issues.

It will also run on Linux although you will need to build it yourself. I posted how I did it with Linux Mint on a small netbook I had spare.

There are also instructions for installing on a Rasberry Pi in the Roverguage Forum

Yo can also use the Hawkeye PRO if you can get one ( I have two spare ) or the Hawkeye TOTAL
You will need the cable BA5084 which is the 14CUX cable with the correct plug.

This is a good tool as you do not need a PC and you can go out with it in the car and take readings of everything.
