You don't go on Facebook? OMG! HOW DO YOU LIVE WITHOUT IT EVEN THOUGH YOU LIVE VERY WELL WITHOUT IT? OMG!!!111!!!

Are you not even on there "just to keep up with a couple of distant relatives and school friends, along with some interesting motoring related groups" which is what everyone else on PH seems to do?
I am genuinely not on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp, Snap(chat) or anything other than PH and LinkedIn but the latter is corporate use only.

I used to have FB but closed and deleted it around 6yrs ago now, never had or been interested in any of the rest - lives good

It's not just kids. I have a 36 year old, mentally unstable brother who has just been on the receiving end of an issue at work via social media.

As you say, literally everybody is glued to their phones.

PH is pretty much as far as I take it with social media. Always amazes me the reaction I get though when I tell people I don't do Facebook.

Nope. Can't stand the stupid thing.

As mentioned above, PH is as far as I go with soshal meedya. smile

My fiancée isn't on it either. Was quite annoying when our daughter was born as we didn't want her plastered all over the site. However, my stupid brother and stupid sister in law soon had pictures of themselves holding her all over their accounts. Actually pi**ed me off a bit, that did.

I'm sure there was something similar sounding when I started secondary school, it went along the lines of "do you want to see the blue whale" and if you answered yes then you were dragged into the nearest toilets and had you head stuck down the bog while it was flushed biggrin
I was out once and met a woman who asked me if I wanted to go back to her house to see her kipper.

Being a lover of fish as pets, I was quite disappointed when we got to the house and she simply bent over with no pants on.
That must have been such a disappointment for you FR. frown

I feel your pain. But in all honesty, didn't you stop at the time, to wonder if something fishy was going on?

It's an idiot catcher. It's also making people think that everyone in the world cares about things like the coffee they are currently drinking.

One of the stupidest things I've seen on there in the past was a chap posting up pictures of his porridge. Why is this stupid? Because he was doing 90mph in his Vectra on a single lane carriageway, whilst holding the porridge pot in one hand and using the other to take the picture of it with his phone.

As for those who say you need it to catch up with people miles away, just use sodding email.

I had my doubts.

What did it for me though were the crabs. I'm not a fan of crustaceans and left promptly when I noticed them.

Same when our daughter was born (2.5yr now) and my sis did the same. I got wind of it from someone else and promptly requested them to be removed, there are no pictures of our little one online anywhere at all, we view it that it should be her choice in the future what's online and not about her, not a relatives decision and certainly not all this potentially future embarrassment of first potty use, etc...
