Moved into my current house about eight or nine years ago and before I signed up, my landlord told me there was a mother & daughter living next door and they were both single.

This interested me and a few days after moving in, I saw a woman in her early seventies outside. Doing some quick calculations, I worked out her daughter would be around my age or maybe a little younger so started to feel hopeful.

Later that week, the other occupant of the house came out and my dreams were shattered. The 70-year-old was the daughter, not the mother then!

Sigh.

I am 6 years older than my fella and we work fine (he is 26 I am 32) bought a house together this year and are very happy.

If you have chemistry and enjoy her company then go for it, ignore what others may or may not think! You are both adults and not hurting anyone!!

It's a funny thing, really. Age is metric based on the man-made construct of years.
A year is the amount of time it takes for the earth to orbit the sun.

Not quite a man made construct. laugh
I believe the Earth will continue to float around the sun, whether or not we count-off the amount of times it does it smile

6 years if nothing and a perfectly normal age gap IMO.

Seems a bit off that he's allowed to keep posting.

I am all for a bit a knock about humour, but he just makes it up as he goes along.

And I am sure I'll get a bking if I call him a .
So I won't.

I see this thread's had a little trim, removing some of Shore's posts and others' (including my) responses.

I’ve had some experience of the stigma attached to the age-gap thing.

I (37) was out for dinner with my girlfriend (19!) - the night was somewhat tainted by calls of ‘Paedo’ and ‘kiddy-fiddler’.

Completely ruined our ten-year anniversary.
