Your comment also reminds me of someone I used to work with. At one of my old companies, there was a HR lady who was about 58 and dressed as though she was someone with a better body for it. You know, high skirts, everything extremely tight, bronzed/orange skin, really high heels. Fair enough, it was up to her and I can't tell anyone how to dress.
What did it for me though was the comment made by my colleague one day. A couple of them were talking about office totty and one mentioned the HR lady (who was actually a lorry driver's favourite). One of my colleagues responded with 'yeah, she isn't bad and I bet her minge is really tight for an old one.'
The conversation instantly stopped and you could pretty much see the tumbleweed rolling across the room.
We had an HR woman who was actually quite fit and had enormous "jugs", and her assistant who was sleeping with the recruitment company sales reps.
There was also the sales director who was shagging his assistant who was 20 years his junior, she was also shagging the factory workers.....
A few years later there was an HR woman who was married but was putting out for the boys (not that I participated, I had met Mrs Fast Cars by then and had other things on my mind).
These work situations can be quite amusing, you also have to be careful what you said in the lunchroom / pub

She's older, been married and is now available = high chance of copious amounts of sex, probably dirty
She's in a good job = high chance of being taken out for nice meals and getting other benefits. Will have decent conversational skills.
She's a manager in your company = high chance of career progression (according to films I've seen). Take a couple of compromising pictures just in case.

A few months after I left school i ended up rooting the wife of a tossbag of a bloke who was down for 5 years for dealing heroin, She was 39 & a mate of mine was a family friend. We'd pop round to say hello to her & the two kids while d1ckhead was doing porridge. Me & her just ended up going at it when I once went round on my own. Pure filth & by that time it was 6 month into hubbies sentence so she was gagging for it to say the least. Found a chisel under her side of the bed that she'd been diddling herself with the handle....ended up waggling that in her snatch while my helmet was nudging her tonsils. She liked being airtight & i bet she found a couple of willing participants once i'd had my fill & joined the army. Happy days.

Neither of us has had or wanted kids (i borrowed 3 who came with an ex for the 6 years i was with her and that told me all i needed to know...)
We met via here coming up for 12 years ago now, living together for the last 11.5 years nearly.
It helps that she looks at least 10 years, if not more, younger than she is, is trim and good looking, and she acts more like a 21 year old than someone considerably older.

I dated a PH'er who was about 8 or so years older than me for a few years a while back. I was about 30 or 31 at the time. Didn't work out but age wasn't the factor in that.
I don't think your respective ages are that far apart to make a huge difference OP, and as you get older the proportions will only diminish.
