I don't but people I know have spoken to mediums who have gave them information they shouldn't have known.
They've also spoken to people who believe they are psychic but come out with rubbish.

I was standing in the kitchen a few months back though. Kitchen light off washing a glass just about to go to bed.
The sink overlooks the garden but the blinds were closed. The window is about 10ft wide.
A shadow went from right to left on the blinds just above my head height so 5ft8.
It couldn't have been a bird as the extension would stop its flight from right to left at that height.
Spooked me the fk out anyway at 2am hehe
Bird (or Bat since I've seen them at my parents place in the evening) but higher up between you and a light source (most probably the moon)

If you book in advance they'll do as much homework as possible, check obituaries, etc. Plus they're very good at reading people's reactions.

Often people will visit a medium to help them come to terms with the death of someone close. Mediums know this so will steer the subject that way. Ask gently probing questions to start, if they feel they are getting close then pursue that path.

Also remember that generally if someone visits a medium they are usually open to the idea that it's genuine, so they will want their visit to be a success. The medium could get 20 things wrong, but the person will come away only remembering the 2 things they got right.

Where I live I often see small patches of greenish ectoplasm on the footpaths as I walk to work in the morning. Evidently this is what is left behind by ghosts from the nearby cemetery that roam the streets at night.

I usually try to avoid stepping in these ghoulish deposits, but one day I accidentally trod in one. The next thing I know, it starts raining and, I haven't got my umbrella. Spooky revenge, or what? Lesson learned!

CCTV is everywhere. Millions of cameras worldwide in offices, shops, homes, car parks, the High Street. Not a single case of CCTV picking up anything "supernatural". So draw your own conclusions from that.
My employer has at least 2 incidents on cctv where supernatural things have occurred, one i can't remember and the other is a driver talking to nobody for a couple of minutes, the driver swore there was somebody there. My mum has also had incidents involving the ghosts of my grandma and grandad, including seeing them after they've died.

I believe in ghosts, don't think I'd like to see one but a few months ago I remember being awake and something white floating across my legs on my bed, not been so scared in a long time. There's something out there...

Con artists in my opinion. My pet hate. The more malicious make money off peoples insecurities and vulnerabilities, not much better than conning people out of money to mess with the roof. Even easier today with peoples digital lives.

Fill a theatre with people paying £20 a head. Do a tour, several a month, hell, who needs to do an honest job for a living.

I think there are people that think they are capable but there are many that must know they are frauds.

I'm 50/50 on mediums/psychics etc.

I can't deny my own experiences though. It's a bit ignorant to consider the paranormal as 'rubbish'. What the hell do we know anyway?

Also, I had some Jehovahs witnesses knock my door the other day, and they asked me my thoughts on it - and why film makers for example seem to be obsessed with the subject.

Their opinion was that this was inappropriate and it was all the work of the devil.

I mentioned that I had had a few experiences, they couldn't get rid of me. wink

I've had experiences but try and keep an open mind. I've also seen UFO's but I believe these are just experimental aircraft rather then aliens.

Very easy to say.

People love to pour scorn on the subject. In my experience, it's because they fear the unknown deep down.

"Miracle" cures make me laugh. It's always cancer, or paralysis, or similar. But why does god hate amputees? No amputee has ever grown back a missing limb, not so much as a fingertip. When god is making the wheelchair bound jump up and start dancing, why don't the amputees ever get a break. The bloke in the wheelchair with no legs never seems to get a miracle.

The blind can be made to see, but the bloke with no eyes never gets the miracle cure.
A very good point. hehe

Or even dead people? If there are miracles going, why aren't dead people coming back? Perhaps it's because they're cremated or buried?

I once saw a ghost when I was really drunk once. I was in a hotel bar and needed to go to my room to get something. As I came out of the lift, a saw a beautiful blonde woman standing outside her room at the end of the corridor, in a wedding dress and holding a bouquet of flowers. I went onto my room and got whatever it was and when I came out, she had vanished (in a ghostly way)

Irrefutable proof of the supernatural, I think you'll all agree.

Fair enough, but I don't see why anything has to prove its existence to us, or that we have to prove something's existence for the satisfaction of others.

Look at the bigger picture, and you'll see how arrogant us humans are on this really.

Some people get really confrontational about it. That speaks volumes.

I've seen people who aren't really there, felt things and heard things that aren't real too. In my case it's mental illness that causes me to 'see' and 'feel' these things. I suspect it's the same for a lot of others, whether they are aware of an illness or not. Extreme fatigue can also cause people to experience things they might describe as being supernatural, ie seeing and hearing things. A common thing that people can experience is Hypnagogic hallucinations that are hallucinations experienced in the consciousness threshold from consciousness to sleep and vice versa. These can seem very real and are very frightening to most people as your body seems paralysed.
I think that the human brain is an incredibly complex bit of kit that can make us believe we are seeing and experiencing things that aren't really there. We're fortunate that there is understanding of these issues now, and that we don't burn people who see things at the stake or dunk them into rivers.
Very interesting, thanks for posting. I suspect I've had a couple of what sound like hypnagogic things.
I've posted one on here before as an example of strange supernatural happenings. Now i understand better.
Actually, one event fits your description perfectly. At 14 years old, just gone to bed and drifting off when I suddenly I felt paralysed. I then heard a voice which appeared to be right behind me saying that I would die at 46 years old. At the same time I was seeing a scene similar to the old Zulu film with a Zulu warrior spearing me in the stomach.
Did spook me for a while and the 46 years old thing stayed with me until I was 46.
On my 46th birthday, I found myself sat at a hotel bar in York PA in the US with a work colleague. He stayed with me until after midnight and willingly helped me exercise the devil. smile
