My Dad works for me and he's like this when he's in a bad mood.

I'll explain how a certain job is going to unfold and he will just nit pick all through it, things like:-

• Questioning the quantity calculations
• Questioning the time frame
• Questioning the working method
• Questioning the quality of certain items/materials
• Questioning the selection of certain equipment for a site etc.

Annoys the fk out of me, especially as when I ask "well what do you suggest?" he normally replies with "I don't know, but....". Now I realise it only happens when he's in a bad mood, I just ignore all his attempts to cause confrontation

or you could fire him ....
