Got a bit of a problem; I renewed my GS Adventure policy with Devitt last October. The policy was cheap (<£100: old rider; lots of NCB, low risk area) but it seemed pukka, and I checked I could add my other bike later (R Nine T) when I took it out of storage. I've done this before and it cost me only a few quid.

It all got delayed as I've moved (even lower risk area) and had other stuff to sort, but today I tried to add the R Nine T and Devitt have told me the premium will increase to £900 p.a. and wanted me to pay pro-rata for the next 5 months.

Looks like I need another stand alone policy; any thoughts from the PH massive before I hit CTM?

somethings up confused

I have been been with Bennetts for 2 years both years <£200
This years renewal £873 furious

I think insurance companies are just hoping you will be too lazy too change and will pay regardless

Only need to get a few signed upped and they will be quids in

I went on a couple of comparison sites and got insured for £187 with Principal

"your call is being recorded for training and quality purposes".

Can we play it back please?

I was going to suggest Principal as they were easily the cheapest for me for my Speed Triple.

Don't really know what Devitts are playing at; I can get a full 12 months policy with low excess and zero NCB for less than £250 through Confused and CTM. I've pinged them an email asking them to check their £300 figure, if not I may as well just have two policies running.

PS Friendly Devitt operator asked me if I meant a R Ninet [Arr ninn-ett], as that was what was written on their database......
