Anyone else noticed a trend for women to post up pictures of themselves with a false dogs nose and ears?
(and think it's a great idea)
What's it about?

I really can't see the attraction to it. It seems like something which should be labeled ages 3-5.
I generally use is as a good sign that I do not need to associate with that person any more. It's quite moronic.

p.s Not just women.

Probably to distract from the filters making their eyes larger, airbrushing their skin, etc.

This is the correct answer. I think the dog nose / ears came after the flower hats and sparkly face paint thing that blacks out your eyes? The first time I saw it on a Plenty of Fish profile, I thought the woman had downs.

But it's basically an excuse to apply a filter.

Mate at work who's single was flicking through a load of profiles on POF, for our amusement, and I was gobsmacked by the number of women on there who have these stupid filters on their profile pics. I could understand if you're an eight year old girl, or an adult women who's trying to amuse an eight year old girl, but why on earth would an adult women of sound mind think that this would endear an adult man to her?

It is just a snapchat filter. So the people who spend all the time on Snapchat will have 100s of pictures with different filters applied.
The dog one seems to be a permanent one on there and some come and go.

This.99% of them will use a filter to hide their age. The chubby puppy fat filters don't work so well though.

I bet those women are getting plenty of action, they're basically saying come and get it big boy, I love it doggy doggy, some are also saying they're dirty bhes and are VERY open minded. Filth.

And on a psychological level, some blokes love that kind of thing. There will be false dogs nose and ears fetishists on there for certain. Admit it, we all like a bit of dog nose and ears deep down.

If women are posting these pictures, its obviously something a percentage of them are into. Wouldn't blokes be better off adopting it too?

A work colleague of mine showed me her POF profile, as she was having trouble attracting "the right kind of guy"

I assumed she wanted to attract guys like me, so wanted my approval.

Unfortunately her max age was about 10 years younger than me. Her loss, hehe

He profile pic had her in Halloween outfit, not some sluttty Alice in wonderland costume either but dressed as an old witch. She seemed genuinely surprised that I though it might not attract blokes (10 years younger than me)

We live in times where some people will put up photos of themselves with animal features or plants growing out their hair yet they cannot put up pictures of their face without any makeup on.
