Sorry calling custard on this as surely the Albert hall would be cooler than Hitler's nut?

An ammo belt my brother brought me back from Iraq in '92. I was 8 at the time, and he was my hero.

He brought me back an ammo belt (not sure how he got that home) a "try and burn this one asshole" american flag t-shirt he traded an american something for, and a desert camo floppy hat and blouson.

I didn't know at the time that the hat, jacket, and the Fender Concord which he kept and only gave me many years later, belonged to a mate that never came home.

They're only cool to me I guess, because they only mean something to me.
I know what you mean, coolness is in the mind of the holder I guess, I have my great-uncle's Indo-China Campaign medal, with a red star on the ribbon, for the wound he took at Dien-Bien-Phu in 1954, (French Airborne).
Personally, I always coveted my son's S.S. German father-in law's Scharfschützenabzeichen, (sniper), badge, and my German daughter-in-law's grandfather's WW1 Iron Cross, both in a display cabinet in their living room in Germany.
But my kid said that they gave out Iron Crosses in the WW1 German army, like the Americans give out Purple Hearts, you get one if you get a splinter in the line at the P.X.

Only cool to me and only because of the memories related.

Buckle from the parachute I made my first jump with.
Weak link assembly from my first solo in a glider.
Casing from the round I shot my first buck with.
First fishing rod given to me by my old man.
Grandpa's tool wrap of imperial spanners.

Worth nothing but my favourite material things.

That upsets me as a purist (having owned 4 of them) but hell yeah, that's awesome. Details needed.
I do have a factory mint 1.9gti in steel grey so I am keeping a standard one too.

The Cossie was built by DJM MOTORSPORT and this was a max power feature car in early 1990. Now runs full WRC suspension from escort cossie, close ratio box and 469bhp with just under 500 ftlb of torque.

Not sure how to think of something as cool or not, but maybe my cabinet of old toys, many with amazingly complex clockwork, working gearboxes and so on...dates from about 1935 to 1965 mainly, example here:
