Audi Harrison?

He has a large house near Stansted, Audi End.

Wonder if it’s so called because it’s 1 end of the runway!

No, true you didn't, but we all know you were thinking it!!!! hehe
I take it we all know the myth/rumour/history of how we ended up with a 70mph speed limit involving the M1? It was supposedly due to Shelby Cobra's being tested on there to prove they would do 160mph and the Police got fed up with it! Or so the story goes!!

Today’s epiphany: I have three vehicles with low oil pressure when hot.

Coincidence ? I think not
Pushfit,
Have you tried decent oil? Or some/any oil?

Or as a last resort, snake oil? rolleyes

I have found that older engines like such as my 2.8/2.9 V6 Colognes prefer something like Valvoline VR 1 Racing 20w50 mineral oil. The zddp additives are also kinder to the valve train.

Worth a try. smile

The modern synthetics are much too thin and the oil pressure does seem to be unhealthily low when hot, and the zinc & phosphorous content is absent to comply with modern emission requirements.

Operating oil pressure using Mobil 1 = 25 psi hot

Operating oil pressure using Valvoline = 50 psi hot

Edited because I felt it didn't quite scan correctly and I had a slight OCD moment. wobble

That was untrue.
I remember it well

They were testing the fastback Shelby Daytona/ LM Cobras for Le Mans and were actually clocked at 180 mph in the wee small hours when the M1 was pretty deserted.

There followed a huge outcry in the Daily Express/ Herald/ Sketch/ Mirror/ Whatever about the dangers of proceeding along a dual carriageway without a man with a red flag walking in front of the car, and Barbara Castle, under enormous political pressure to protect the sensibilities of little old ladies and gentlemen in trilbies driving their A35s on their annual pilgrimage to Shorpe, decided that nobody should ever progress at speeds in excess of 70mph.

I'm surprised they didn't also apply that same speed limit to aircraft. How many more innocent passengers must die due to travelling at over 70mph? weeping

They're unable to breathe, do you see? In fact proposing any form of mechanised transport capable of travelling faster than a horse can gallop is utter madness.

Tis true, what utter madness to even suggest it!!! I mean to say if god had meant us to fly surely we'd have wings? And if he meant us to go over 70mph he'd have given us engines!! These lunatics who think that it's advisable, nay, acceptable to do so, hah, I say HAH, fools, doomed we're all DOOMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For what it's worth, I've been fitting a few plane bits this morning. Just a few parts on a Piper Cub, not as exciting as a fully bombed up Tornado but there we go.

Mrs B's sister is staying with us at the mo, mad as a box of frogs she is. Hence my departure to the airfield. Think I might stop off at the B&L on my way home, see how Frank's doing.

Thinking about it, I might have left it on Lady's Mile Beach in Cyprus.

I'm hoping to go back there soon, I'll have a proper look for it.

I hate Sushi. Can't stomach thought of raw fish. But a work colleague had some M&S fake sushi $hit in today, which uses tuna (cooked), beef, avocado, and a host of other things instead. Actually quite nice.

I wouldn't risk it.

Omo is the way to go. I think we'll be quite safe with that. Omo.
