Yes indeedy!!! A week just outside Kinross in a converted watermill, and a stop in Buxton on the way back so we can do Shugborough Hall, a National trust property we haven't been to yet!! Can't wait been a hard year with one thing or another!!
Ooh, that sounds good. Might be worth having a look at Lochleven Castle whilst you're around Kinross? Interesting old place, something to do with Mary Queen of Scots IIRC.
I'm sure you'll have a great time chap. smile

Thanks Bomma, we're about 15 minutes away from Lochleven and the castle is on our to do list, we're doing a loop from Kinross through to St.Andrews then back to Glenrothes and back to Kinross, not too far but takes in a chunk of scenery!! I will of course be checking in with TT regularly and sharing pics of my spoils as I acquire them!! (Whisky!!) yes

Went up years ago with some friends, we stayed Ina converted mill too, place called Bridge of Linton or something.

We did Distilleries too, rather conveniently on the day I wasn't driving. It worked out very well for me apparentl. Mrs Jim AK was pregnant so couldn't have the samples, mates wife didn't like whisky, didn't have the samples, my mate was driving, couldn't have the samples!!

Cant remember it myself....... Due to the aforementioned samples!!

Trolley Update:

Upon advice from the medical team, the Cheese Sandwich (with optional pickle) trolley has now been replaced by a Dettol & surgical dressing trolley in the light of Dicky's injury.

For anyone concerned, the cheese was the only vegetarian option available for lunch. Please be aware of this if you opt for the triple bison, bacon & lamb burger with cheese. It's not the same thing.

Around 10 minute delay currently.

hehe
We went to the Glenturret distillery, also know as The Famous Grouse Experience for my 40th in 2010, we were the only people on the warehouse No9 tour which as it suggests ends in one of the bonded warehouses, we told the chap doing the tour it was my 40th treat from my wife, your only supposed to try three of the whisky's they do, nope, he decided we were trying all seven as a birthday treat, then we decided we couldn't make our minds up which was better, the 18yr old or the 21yr old so we tried them a couple more times, I have a vague recollection of going for lunch after and my wife tells me the guide wasn't much better than me!!!! hehe

Slightly related, but not entirely relevant.

Youngest Cost Centre had a bag of Frazzles (bacon flavour) with lunch at the weekend.

Apparently their Vegetarian friendly according to the pack!!

Vegetarian?

Ah. Battert made me bleed on the compost heap. Will this be a problem?

I believe it's an old tradition connected to his birthplace, it's a bit like a Gurkha drawing his Kukri except with Battert it's related to growing cabbages. And cauliflowers too I think.

Not a problem, I wouldn't worry about it.

Latex gloves. The answer to everything from colonoscopy to cuts. I might have a pair I found on the front lawn.

She soon straightened out the cross brace, I know that much. Must have been a considerable loss when she retired, I doubt the Navy have had many stokers like her.

A bottle of brandy, sixty Capstan Full Strength and still the capacity to sing Danny Boy louder than a Dreadnought fog horn.
That was just in the day centre yesterday. How she keeps control of that elevenses trolley I'll never know.

Trolley due in four minutes and thirty seconds, Bobberoo. You'll hear me coming, I'm pushing the trolley one handed and consequently colliding with things.

In fact, if you could move anything of value from the left wall of the corridors on my trolley route I'd be obliged. That's my left hand as if I have my back to the kitchen. Then quickly swap sides when I go back. You'll need a gang of willing blokes who are both on their toes, prepared to take orders and act on their own initiative. On reflection, just leave it. It's only fire extinguishers and fire buckets and ashtrays made from First War shell casing and suits of armour and that sort of stuff. It'll be fine.

I did wonder what all the commotion was, sounded like an elephant was skating along wearing a suit of armour while juggling bags of nails, still you didn't do too much damage, bit of dado-rail knocked loose, one of the fire extinguishers now venting along the left wall and that suit of armour appears to have been moved about four feet from it's original place but nothing we can't straighten!!! When are you due back along, i'll make sure no ones in the way!! smile

It all depends on the TT R&D Dept. If they insist on testing all foodstuffs for E. coli, Listeria, and Salmonella before purchasing again I won't be back until lunchtime. If they go Full Botulism it could be tea time this afternoon.
