What on earth is council about that?
Pretty much everything
The wifes lovely and the kids look well reared and not council. The names however... smile
I'll grant you, the kids' names are pretty questionable, but beyond that, I think it's pretty pathetic for anyone to be pointing the finger at her just for trying, perfectly legally, to avoid being evicted from her family home.
They've been asked to leave their rental and it's been 7 months since the request. They should have been out 5-6 months ago.
So following a legal process is council, is it?
Refusing to leave until you are evicted (undoubtedly not paying any rent) and then fighting in court to prevent being evicted after months of notice is council.
There is no mention of rent arrears or anti social behaviour, it even says they were going to decorate, although that was put on hold for obvious reasons, so they don't sound like the sort AustinSmirk has to deal with, the landlord just wanted his place back, hence the s.21 notice.
BUT he didn't follow the proper procedure,or maybe his agent didn't,by not sending the DPS certificate (if he ever had one) so could not evict them. Had he done it right that family would be homeless by Xmas no news story, and the PH powerfully built would be creaming their jeans.smile
Maybe not following simple rules is council? Everything else is after all!

We don't know if the certificate was or was not given. They escaped eviction as the landlord had no proof (either way) about the DPS certificate at the time of the hearing.

Regardless of the legality of the S.21 notice....they've been asked to leave. They haven't and are fighting it though the courts. That is council.

Citroen Picasso, still council or a future classic? (Xsara iteration.)

Considering I haven’t seen one with Sharon in it for a while they are becoming (unnervingly) appealing in a nostalgic way.

Is it wrong for me to have taken a sudden liking to the Pickering weapon of choice? Pre facelift please in the turquoise colour and Saxo VTS wheels yum

Off to look at Autotrader now to see if there any low mileage examples left near me like this |https://thumbsnap.com/Cfle1ikA[/url]

I'm currently rocking one of these as a shed/dog car/drive to and from workshop and not care about car.

It was free.

It does 65+mpg.

Every journey is excruciating.

It's a hugely practical car. But. Seats aren't that comfortable, no cruise control, everyone assumes your a scumbag who has zero interest in cars.

Just don't.

It made the Look East TV news and the locals speak of little else.

The article seems to stop half way through telling the story?

There is an awful lot missing from that piece.

From what I can tell there is no debate that it was a winner and no hint that he stole the ticket, the woman gave it away (weird but her choice).
So not sure what he was actually accused of.

Not sure about that. It was only a couple of pages back that it was brand new, so can it really be considered "classic" this short time later?

I'd like to nominate myself. Yesterday I had breakfast at an Asda cafe and lunch at a Hungry Horse. Asda, at 8am, already had a queue for the fag/vape counter and people arguing with the waitress that their big breakfast wasn't "big". The HH was full of loud, sweary people wearing leisure wear and leaving their tables in a mess. I had to shower when I got home laugh

I will own up to Asda breakfasts. A regular visit for me is close to Asda and an early start gives me an easier drive and time to do emails over food before going on site.

I put £20 on a gift card for a friend in Wetherspoons yesterday.

In my defence it was the William Webb Ellis in twickenham.

But still.
