Nice pic. If you don't mind me asking - how do you manage to upload hi def pics like that? Thumbsnap/PH only allows me 2 mb.

Did that storm have a name?
Fionn (the sound which your shed roof makes as it goes whizzing past your head).
Technically incorrect. The Irish used Fionn to name some wind on Tues night, wasn't even a deep low pressure. Last night didn't have a name, but daft as 83mph in Norfolk deserves a name.
Further clarification - the French named the storm as 'David'. We didn't name it.

Crazy system!

Good storm!
Calm in London now - could send some planes over here if we had any space capacity wink

Cool shot. Brings back memories as I stayed at that hotel back in 2012.

I don’t use Thumbsnap or any of the usual photo hosting sites (which usually ‘squash’)... but my own website... but out of interest, it’s not hi res, it’s only 325k, 1220 px wide, 123 dpi.

Was woken up at 4:55 am by the wind. Was really howling. Had died down by 6:30 though. Quite a fast moving system.

A bit of fence to the left of our property is hanging off. Keeping the neighbour's dogs out, for now.

One bizarre thing. Our daughter has a little plastic play house in the garden. That is upside down further away from the house. The little plastic table that was inside has moved up near to our house. confused

The wind has taken the table out of the house and sent it the other way to the house itself. hehe

Nice pic, but that wonky top on the light means it's only a 7 out of 10.

Wind moved some of our rattan seats around on the decking, around 5m movement. Somehow it managed to swap the order of the seats while it moved them. Must have been quite the dance!

Good storm. I landed this morning around 6:30L - right at the limits. In the space of 20 minutes it went from southerlies at 20kts to westerlies at 40.

My wife reports a lovely dusting on the eastern edge of the Dales. Driver can't/won't take her to Manchester airport, as the roads into and out of the village are 'testing' to say the least.

A tree went down near where I used to work.

Someone thought it a good idea to place a high viz jacket on it, just in case people didn't see it:
