Looks like the south will get hit worst by any major snow event towards the end of the week, will be interesting on Thursday/Friday if that happens.

Anyone who lives in the brown bit is going to have a very white week... followed by a very wet week of melt.

It's the symbol for cold penis, a sure sign it's a bit nippy out.

Everytime in check the met office forecast there's less and less snow for my part of Kent (northfleet)

Think I'm gonna give up checking and just hope for the best

But like every year I'm sure it will all swing away at the very last minute and I will be left cold, snowless and sad

The good news is they can just brush it into the sea.

For those in the South, particularly South of the M4, do keep an eye on Thursday. Nothing is set in stone, but one of the possible outcomes is we get an occluded front sitting over us for 24 - 30 hours and dumping an unholy amount of snow. While there’s no guarantee what’s going to happen that far away, it’s certainly one to watch and take heed of.

How are things looking for the South (London) over the next 48 hours? I'm flicking between here and the Netweather forums and reading conflicting views. I presume the Met Office weather warnings are a good guiding light?

From what I can figure out, it’s going to absolutely Baltic with some snow flurries, but nothing major unless some convection gets going.

Mon - Wed will just be generally cold with some flurries and small accumulations. The fun really starts for us mid morning Thursday

ETA. Don’t take my interpretation over the pro’s or the experienced amateurs on Netweatger, though - those guys knock my very, very limited knowledge into a cocked hat!

Thanks. I picked up a sledge from a local ebayer yesterday - If nothing materialises I take full responsibility.
