Weather app on phone suggests snow and low temperatures for my area from Tuesday onwards.
East of Glasgow area.
I’m hoping this is the case.

We've had nigh on 3 months of minus 20's during the day then dipping to mid minus 30's overnight , with winds and snow . You will survive a couple of days , I promise . Failing everything else take a good dose of MTFU pills and all will be good . Best of luck chaps laugh

Nothing new here, snow that was forecast for midnight pushed back to 1am, 1am arrives snow due at 4am.

No doubt 4 am will arrive and the never ending delay will never end and then it will be summer..

Netweather told me I would wake up to the lightest dusting of snow, and I have. Now bring on the main event! (After I get home from work this evening)

She might, I don’t!

Last time we had a decent snow event I was working a Virgin inbound to Heathrow that ended up diverting to Frankfurt!!
eek

I've just woken up early having worked out that my biggest issue is the school calling a preemptive snow day.

GFS pushing the low away looks like temps will lift after Thursday as well.
The GFS always resolves with a westward bias and, to my eye, has been a bit sporty in taking the low NW sooner than it should. UKMO has it modelled really rather differently.

I’m going from Soton to Heathrow on Thursday. Although if there’s more than a couple of cm’s there’ll be no reason to go as my girlfriends flight will be diverting somewhere else.
Due to fly from Soton to Manchester Thursday afternoon. Great timing!

Worcestershire. Minus 5 on the sheltered outside thermometer this morning. No icing on cars. Dons lumberjack shirt and long thermal undercrackers.

Just started trickling down here and settled immediately on the ground. East Mids near the Airport. Sky is bright with high clouds to my south, darker/lower to the north. Big fluffy flakes. It's quite gentle at the moment though it's had a few flurries where it's really come down, but these are short lived.

Just got back from Innsbruck and it's amazing how much a non event snow is. So well geared up to handle it. People drive around like it isn't even there!

Sort of finding a few things trial and error but is there a cheat sheet or something for the various models, origins etc.?

Saw a few flurries on my commute from Ringwood to Leatherhead. Had 20 mins or so of heavier snow up here but it's stopped again now. very fluffy stuff, settling readily though
