The adult me thinks that the childhood me would be disappointed by the absence of a platinum selling album, a Ferrari Testarossa and a Frank-Lloyd Wright designed house. However, the childhood me would probably just be amazed that the adult me has seen and touched a naked woman, driven a car and has unfettered access to pubs!

Young me would be impressed by the cars but annoyed I'm not a billionaire.
Teenage me could really have done with a pep talk from adult me AND child me about not self sabotaging and not being such a manic depressive to the extent it compromised my becoming a billionaire.

I'm a really top guy, well liked by everyone in my job (which pays 6 figs.) with lots of great friends and a really beautiful wife. Childhood me would be amazed that I became such a wealthy and successful individual at the tender age of 28 and already have a garage full of expensive toys, still take a good number of frivolous exotic holidays each year and live life to the full with my extreme sports hobbies and being fortunate enough to spend a lot of time around models and celebrities.

15 year old me would actually be disappointed that at 35 my alcohol tolerance is probably lower than his, I barely have any more disposable income than him, I've sold the only cars I had that even resembled sportscars and I now really enjoy walking and gardening which he would never understand. I also get less women (well now only one woman) and haven't got any kids yet despite 15 year old me being convinced I'd be fully settled with at least one by 30. But whatever, I'm pretty sure he'd like my cats so there's that.

As a child I always pictured my adult self having a moustache.

I don't have a moustache.

The young me didnt have much ambition so the bar was set very low.

He wanted an MGB, which he got, he raced bikes, he got more of that. He had to work for every penny, was never given anything or inherited a bean, and did OK.

He loved his mother and his dog, and that hasnt changed even though they are not around.

He think he would say - I did ok.

Yeah I think so.

I was quite a realistic kid - so living with a woman to share life with, couple of fast rally reps on the drive, detached house with nice view, double garage, nice holidays every other year and no kids are pretty much what I would have wanted.

I don't have a chainsaw and my own trees to cut though - that's a disappointment.

I think I'd owe my 15 year old self an apology. I never became a rock legend and sold out to "the man". I also became an engineer in qualification only as I've worked mainly in sales in engineering, rather than make stuff.
Then again, I have a garage full of old bikes and I've travelled the world (in Chile with work right now) so I think he'd be pleased about that.
I have settled down with a great girl and am getting married next year. Not sure what he'd think to that!

Childhood me also wanted a chainsaw.

A friend asked if I wanted to have a go with one a few years ago. I declined as I was worried I'd chop my legs off or something.

Childhood me would be disappointed.

Child and Teenage me would be a little dismayed at how I seem to be turning into a clone of my dad. Physically at least. But at least I dress better.

Have you checked with other people or is that your own (ageing) opinion.......?

Not sure.

The plan at that age was Corporate Law - whatever that might be! - which would provide a salary sufficient enough to buy numerous Porsches and live in a trendy apartment in a city centre somewhere.

Instead, I live in a bungalow in the 'burbs and I'm an Insurance Broker.

I couldn't pull my way out of a paper bag at that age so I think he'd be impressed by Mrs T. Self-employment wasn't on my radar back then so that might impress him.

The lack of Porsches would be a sticking point though.

Is this just an excuse for willy waving?

15 year y/o me would have apathy towards 27 y/o me, as I have towards the concept 40 y/o me, and so on......even though relatively speaking I'm doing ok.

The 15 year old me would be most impressed with the self-confidence that the 33 year old me now has.

The want for playing with fast cars remains, and has been mainly achieved with rallying.
