I would suggest that this thread is more Roy Rogers and Muffin the Mule than Miami Vice, that well known US Floridian DIY series. (With oh so cool presenters.)

Err... Hopalong Cassidy if you don't mind! Roy Rogers was post ITV opening in 1955 (I think).

Good point, that didn't occur to me. Leaves behind a lot less evidence than putting photos of your stolen stuff online!

This is true. I'll go occasionally, but there's not much good there. Used to enjoy them as a kid.

My Dad and my uncle used to go there regularly. Panther, Ariel Square Four, BSA Golden Flash all combinations for the family. They also went to Slocombe's in Neasden - Bill Slocombe himself was the proprietor in those days. My father bought a car from him in about 1958 I think.
