I’ve asked the following question on the TV forum but is anyone in NZ successfully watching iplayer?

I'm using Unotelly but BBC iplayer not working again. Unotelly seem slow and unreliable at the moment against the BBC geo blocking.

Are there any suggestions of providers quick at overcoming the BBC blocking? PureVPN and NordVPN seem the front runners but has anyone on here used them?

Try TunnelBear, they have a free trial amount of data when you sign up.

Ipvanish works perfectly for me overseas. Not been to NZ but was fine in Aus and lots of other places.

And iplayer is working today? The BBC seem pretty quick at closing them down.
I'm happy to pay for a working provider hence confirming which one is working, and gets back up and running quite quickly.

Yes. I'm sat on the beach in Italy watching it right now.

I used HMA! when I was in NZ for two months earlier this year. The big problem is that the BBC are gradually blocking the VPNs one by one so often a particular VPN server in the UK would work one day and then not the next so had to try different servers until you found one that worked for that day. I only subscribed to HMA! so that I had iPlayer abroad but most of the time it's a hassle trying to find a server that works.

foxyproxy is a suggestion. My brother is an iplayer engineer for the BBC, and this was his suggestion to friends in Amsterdam a while back. Mind, I'm not technical, and this was a few years ago, so things may have changed.

Can you ask him if that's still the case?

Thanks, there's no rush at all as we won't be back in NZ until Feb 1st.

Just a quick update. I bit-the-bullet and subscribed to FoxyProxy for a year and all is well so far, I've cancelled my subs to HMA! as they admitted that they could not get it to work for BBC iPlayer or Channel 4.
