Central London: poncey place for a late-ish drink?
Discussion
I'm fulfilling a long-held ambition on Wednesday night and gong to Ronnie Scott's in Soho.
Not massively ideal arrangements, but am working late in London and staying over, so am going to take the chance and shoe-horn a visit to the midnight show there...looking forward to it even though I'll have to be up early the next day for work.
I'll arrive in central london around 10.30 pm...any recommendations for somewhere suitably poncetastic to have a couple of drinks before I go to RSs...which is right in the middle of Soho.
Nothing too busy or noisy...maybe a hotel bar with a bit of eye candy? Or a cocktail lounge? Or whats the best old fashioned boozer in walking distance from there?
I've always fancied one of those ridiculous places where rich people and royals go to in Mayfair...Tramps or somewhere like that? Might be a bit of fun for an hour or so...and i might be allowed in as it'll be early.
Anyway, any thoughts/recommendations/experience?
Let me know if you get a moment, please, gents.
Thanks in advance.

Mahiki is a well known celeb-tastic hang out, it's on Piccadilly, 10~15 mins walk from RS. Much closer is Soho House on Dean Street, but not sure about entry nowadays - you needed to be a member/with a member last time I went. Someone might sign you in I guess... You've got Bar Soho on Old Compton street, which is a quirky cocktail bar, and much less focused on the gay scene than most Old Comption St bars, it's normally a really fun place.
Loads of London boozers in that part of Soho, the Gay Hussar is a famous politician's pub, there's a couple on Bateman Street, or there's the Coach and Horses on Greek St which is a favourite of mine purely because they have a sing-a-long on a Weds and a Sat - last one we went to was rammed, and huge fun singing Grease, Neil diamond, Queen, etc songs along with other half-pissed randomers - wife always demanding to go back and do it again.
ETA - just noticed you're there on a Weds - in which case it's got to be the Coach and Horses..
