I took this pic in the depths of the gaol at exactly midnight. Some people said they could see a figure in it but i never did.

There's none so blind as those that won't see.

I’m away for the week with work. When I return, I’ll bring down the DVR and take a look. I’ll post some footage, regardless!

We’ve heard some weird noise, together. Most could be explained by the cats, though. Interesting to see.

Interesting thread with the expected mix of comments.

As what I would class as being a non-believer I have only one experience from a 'ghost tour' in Edinburgh when my wife's cousin and I did the Mackenzie Poltergeist tour in Greyfriars graveyard. Yes I would absolutely agree we would have been at a heightened state of anticipation due to going on a ghost tour in a graveyard in the dark but I'll just explain the outcome as it happened.

Was early April 2008, bitterly cold and a dark but clear evening. Group of around 20 people were walked to the stone tomb by the host of the tour, I would describe the tomb as being like a medium sized cave, around 7' at the highest point and maybe 15-18' in diameter.

Everyone walked into the tomb and asked to turnaround to face the host who began talking us through the Mackenzie story and the happenings over the years. My wife's cousin and I are at the back of the tomb with the rest of the tour goers in front and have the stone wall behind us.

Been in there maybe 4-5 mins when I heard my wife's cousin gasp and look over her right shoulder - I was stood immediately to her left. As she did this I instantly broke out in a heavy sweat and a swathe of nausea flush through me as the girl stood in front of me promptly fainted and hit the floor.

Tour guide dragged the whole tour out of the tomb, we had to make statements to the incident and that was that. Wife's cousin claimed she heard/felt a heavy breath in her ear (no one stood to the right of her) which gained her reaction.

Over the years I have reflected on it and wondered if it was the heightened anticipation and we were all subliminally feeding off each others anxiety creating the physical outcome experienced by 3 adults stood in close proximity??

I would happily do the tour again to see what happens, if anything.

Never had any other paranormal experiences in my life. I have lost close family members over the years and currently live in a house where the owner was found deceased at the bottom of the stairs - but nothing.

Like to think I am fairly open minded, don't have any religious belief's and fascinated by things which I can't explain.
It could have been the ghost of the dog protecting you just l.ike he did when he sat near his owners grave still looking after him

Here we go again. Can I summarize the next 40 pages?

10 PRINT "Believers: You non-believers are arrogant!"
20 PRINT "Non-believers: You believers are stupid!"
30 GOTO 10
As we're now on page 40, can I just check if we've moved beyond this yet?
We get it that some people don't believe. Youve all laid down your thoughts and case.

Can we move on now. Let's see how the OP gets on.

Regardless of if they do/if they don't. If people go onto a thread and constantly detail/labour their point.

We get it. Ghosts don't exist. You've made it clear.

There must be other topics that you can post on now.

If you'd actually read and understood my post you'd know that the point I was making was not dissimilar, viz, this is a pointless circular discussion and nobody's mind is going to be changed. As has been amply proven on all sides.

But clearly you didn't read or understand my post and furthermore, as you have also been told several times, bugger off. You are not the arbiter of who posts where and you certainly have no right to tell me, or anybody else, which threads they are allowed to post on.

This thread isn't about whether they exist or not so it doesn't matter if your mind isn't changed. It about peoples experiences so whats the point in going on about your views that the experiences are wrong in your mind - the posters of those experiences couldn't give a tinkers toss what your views are as it doesn't alter whats already happened to them.

No I'm not the arbiter of who posts where but when people post up it doesn't happen/doesn't exist and it must be mental illness repeatedly it details and sinks a topic intentionally. Now you misread why I quoted your post.

As I said pages back I posted up a similar topic about my house and it literally sank under people claiming mental illness, pixies and trying to force feed posters that ghosts didn't exist. I'm still not sure they do but I can't forget my experiences or explain them away.

What is tiring is the overly attack negativity crowd.

Where's that defined? In fact, the original post explicitly asked if it was all BS. I think you may need to reassess.

The line is it all BS? Came after the occurrences in the house. Was what happened/what the OP detailed bullst?

If you said yes it's bullst fine. As you haven't experienced it (or similar) yourself so you don't believe it.

The "why aren't they wearing Nike and hoodies" and "where are the caveman" lines along with pixies/mental illness is daft.

What I experienced wasn't people walking round in Tudor clothing nor did I see someone in a bedsheet and chains. That's the media and places looking to up their footfall into their failing pub/venue/etc.

Bit of a tangent there. Could you reassess what was said, too?

Thanks in advance.

Only read the first page but re the Ferrari connection I do remember going to a meeting some years ago and someone saying their or their friends house was haunted in a similar vein. Quite a while ago. The meeting was in Essex but I am not sure where the house was.
