Looking at hotels, always best to check the low reviews out - to see if the hotel is full of morons who complain about anything. Stumbled across this gem and the straightforward Italian response.

You go to John Lewis to do rude things to mannequins hands and you see someone’s beaten you to it. They’ve done well though...

The Rebel Whopper® is plant-based; however, it is cooked on the same broiler as our original WHOPPER® to deliver the same unique flame-grilled taste. Due to shared cooking equipment it may not be suitable for vegetarians.

What’s the point?!

To appeal to the huge number of people who, although not vegetarians, are consciously reducing their meat consumption.

Although why you'd choose to do that at a burger joint is beyond me.

Publicity.

You cannot pay for the coverage they are getting from simultaneously pandering to and offending vegans.

I now seem to gravitate to the plant based alternatives, I genuinely prefer them. The texture and taste is spot on (and often better than the meaty originals) from the ones I’ve tried already.
