I have had stuff delivered by Prime to home, work, hotels, the local post office, a not so local post office, my mum in Wales with no problem. And returns are straightforward too.

This looks like a case of user error.
Go on then, I find the thing I want to buy, make sure its prime and click the one click buy button. Where is the user error there? enlighten me.

Is your house difficult to find ?......especially in the dark seeing as parcel deliverers seem to work all hours nowadays.
Piece of piss, cul-de-sac straight off the main road, door with a big chrome number on it 6ft from the kerb, no gates, no bushes in the way, outside light, plenty of parking right outside, couldn't be more simple.

There is a few but if they wont bring stuff to me why would they take it to a locker? its shown as out for delivery since 2.30PM today. I can buy everything I need of Ebay, they do fast and free delivery which is about the same as amazon take to get me stuff on prime anyway, all I want is my £80 back for this year.
Amazon locker won't do large items. Complain you should get a month for free added to your subscription. I am up to 4 months extra now as they keep messing up.

Prime video - that's useless as well, watching the grand tour kept switching from HD to SD despite having Virgin vivid 100. Had to torrent them to watch properly, took all of 2 minutes per episode

Thats virgin thats useless. not prime.

I have same service and it gets throttles down to >3mb at peak times. ( i.e the only time im actually home to use it )
I'll be switching soon.

Don't think so, everything else is fine, ITV player, Youtube, kodi etc, literally everything else streams full HD video flawlessly. Downloaded a 1.25 Gb film yesterday in about 4 minutes, nothing wrong with Virgin, just need to turn the family filters off in the Virgin dashboard

That safe place as well is useless, when DPD contact me about a delivery I can tell them any place I want them to put it, with amazon you can only select bizzarre pre-determined places. I dont have a shed, greenhouse or porch so its pretty useless. Surely if the delivery driver could get to where most peoples greenhouses are there would be better places to leave it than the greenhouse anyway.
I've figured out the reason why they only have pre-determined places is because 99% of Amazon drivers don't speak English and they probably have some kind of picture chart showing each place. Mine says behind wheelie bin as there is no option for "secure parcel Box" which i have next to the wheelie bins and noted by a sign on the door. Half the time it's left behind the food caddy near the door in full view, the rest of the time it's next to the bins (also next to the parcel box) open to the elements.

I've also noticed despite having deliveries on consecutive days they're are never the same driver hence who some days deliveries are fine and one day and not the next day

But you can add a custom message for where to leave items.

Each Amazon parcel I order (on free student prime membership) on the address label has my name, address, and a note of "If no one is home, please put parcel into the electrical cabinet and push the door to lock".

I'm moving from home into an apartment next week and have ordered pretty much everything from Amazon, all being delivered in grouped deliveries while I wasn't at home. Granted not quite so easy if you don't have somewhere useful for them to leave parcels, but all in all Amazons service is great I find.

So just stop using fking Amazon then. It's not difficult.

I have done, got a refund for prime on the way, told them to shove it up their arse, it wasn't difficult.

No complaints from me, maybe I’m just lucky. They deliver when they say they will and often I order on an evening and it’s on the doorstep when I get up. I still find that amazing.

I ordered some alcohol which they tried to deliver today whilst I was at work. Unfortunately they wouldn't leave it with my elderly neighbours as they want to verify my age. They're delivering again tomorrow so I'm going to have to work from home.

I'm sure I've bought alcohol before and they didn't check...

No problems here but I always just say to leave it in the "safe place". Fortunately I live in a nice area where you can do that.

Never understand why people bother with Prime.

Waste of money as everything I order is free standard delivery.

What wound me up is they take £80 a year off you and then say the "GUARANTEED" delivery day is.....xxx then don't bother turning up. What does guaranteed actually mean.

If I said yep, book the plasterers in for Friday I guarantee you I will be there Thursday, you would be mightily pissed off if I didn't show until Saturday, especially if I had money up front for the job. On the other hand if I said leave it with me I'll see what I can do there cant be any arguments if I don't show.

I think it’s value, but understand why others wouldn’t think so.
