This year is different to most, she actually told me what she wanted: A pair of Hunter Wellies. Purchased.
And relax.
If the wellies are for proper use and not just posing they're rubbish, take them back and buy Ariat. Hunter went bust and another company bought the name and the quality has dropped massively. I've got a pair of Hunter wellies that are over 10 years old and still good, wife bought some of the current ones and had to take them back, local tack shop won't stock them. And relax.
If you really want to be posh buy her some Dubarry's.

Its that time of year again.
Panic, stress, lack of sleep, mental block, and the constant fight or flight feeling. All because we cant think of a damn thing to get our other half.
So to anyone that's sorted, throw us a bone, please.

My wife’s birthday and Christmas are within a month of each other.
I’m really struggling for one let alone both occasions.

Molton Brown bath and shower stuff is hideously expensive for what it is (I can buy a years worth of shower gel and shampoo for the price of one 300ml MB Shower Gel) but is well received. Online or in the shop they will box it up so it looks posh. It is the home of the £40 candle.
I never even heard of this stuff/brand before I was coerced to Bicester Village last weekend and they have it in the bogs there. Wife asked for it, I thought no problem, it will probably be a quid when on offer like Carex or Imperial Leather, but no, it's insanely priced.nealeh1875 said:
she has sent me a handbag she wants.
handbag and purse from kurt geiger £300 .. is that a lot?
God no. My missus treats herself to a Mulberry every year, and I paid little attention until I looked at the prices. handbag and purse from kurt geiger £300 .. is that a lot?
Maldives for me and mrs F. So no presents. Just a week of shagging on our own private island.

A trip to Rome.
Don't normally go anywhere near this expense, but I was recently left so money in a will and we've both always wanted to go. We're hoping to start a family in 2018 - all being well! - so this was potentially the last chance we would could go for quite a few years.
Great destination, enjoy. Everything is a lot closer together than you may imagine so you really can see a lot of stuff in a short space of time. If you are at all claustrophobic then beware the trip to the top of St Peters Basilica, it is an interesting climb. I bought my wife some Dubarry's which have lasted years and she has bought Ariat wellies that are much better than Hunters, when mine finally wear out I'll buy some Ariat ones.

Thanks. Expect a "Recommendations for Rome" thread to pop in February! Eyersey1234 - I am doing ok thanks. I am definitely on the up, it took a while for me to realise that actually I am better off without her. Still doesn't stop the house feeling empty though.

Oh wow, wasn't expecting any of that!
Thanks for the concern but it was a long time ago and she never liked too much of a fuss at this time of year anyway, but it's quite a nice little tradition that's developed. Especially the bit where I head for Gatwick soon afterwards.
Glad to hear all ok - maybe work a little on the delivery it was one of the saddest things I think I have read in a long time!!Thanks for the concern but it was a long time ago and she never liked too much of a fuss at this time of year anyway, but it's quite a nice little tradition that's developed. Hope you are going somewhere sunny!!
