Automatic doors that don't open quickly enough.

I'm not saying you should be able to run at them and have them snap open with a sonic boom (although that would be nice) bit I expect to be able to walk at them at a slow walking pace and not have to pause.

Just now in Aldi they opened so slowly that I had to come to a complete stop and wait for them to grind open. It annoyed me beyond reason.

The other thing that annoys me about Aldi is that everything you save by shopping there, you undo by buying a load of stuff from the Aisle of Wonder.
Are you sure it is not that they might have closed again by the time you reach them? whistle (grabs coat and runs!)

Nope. In this case it was exiting the store with a trolley and they started to slowly grind open as I approached, and even though I slowed right down they still opened at a speed that suggested that they were being pulled open by asthmatic snails. In the end, after me being forced to come to a complete stop and stood still for several seconds, they opened enough that I was able to to get the nose of the trolley into the gap and I used it as a wedge to speed them up a bit whilst saying "really???". hehe

Ill raise you those stupid massive revolving doors they have in shopping malls.
Some idiot always gets too close and the sensors stop the door or peoples kids take great delight in stopping the door every 6 inches.

I'll just add to that

"Technology for Technologys sake"

Friend of mine has linked his Google/Amazon thingy to his electrics. Showed me a video where he goes in and say "Alexa/Google" (cant remember) "Turn on the lights in daughters room" and there's a pause and it goes on. Great, but he would have been quicker to just flick the switch! He was in the bloody doorway! laugh

Reminds me of that bit in Demolition Man where Simon Phoenix has reprogrammed the voice control on the lights in Cocteau's office, and then leaves with Cocteau sitting in the dark trying to turn the lights on.

Probably already been done.
If that was being done in the 1980's then I'm sure things have moved on since then.
Yes it’s here. Multiple control of trains, running on the same tracks, digital sound chips that recreate the actual noise of each locomotive, the sound varies with the speed and load of the locomotive, horns an whistles, complete control of all accessories, points etc
All done from an app.

People who talk for 10+ minutes recounting a boring anecdote, in too much detail, and then say "well, to cut a long story short..." banghead
