Following a recent test drive, I’m close to pulling the trigger on a new E63s Estate. I would love to hear from current owners - views on essential spec? real world fuel consumption? Is the E63s worth it over the E63?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.....

Cheers.

There’s a 6ish month wait on the saloon, more if you spec heads-up display.

Have you checked with your dealer re: delivery dates?

Not sure where you are based but MB Thurrock said I could have one by beginning of may next year when I was in there looking the other day, built to my spec, or sooner if you wanted a red S estate with a good spec.

I’ve currently got a C63s estate, but will definitely be upgrading to a E s estate next year.

As its an estate I assume the rear seat space matters?
I find it seriously lacking in rear seat comfort... not enough legroom and not enough under thigh support... ok if you have kids but not adult friendly. Unfortunate for a circa 5m long estate

A belated thanks for the replies, cheers.

I’m still close to buying an immediately available stock car with a good spec but I can’t find any info on the real mpg of this engine.

If there are any owners here, I would really appreciate an idea of true mpg?

Thanks

You don't buy an E63 and worry about mpg wink

US EPA say 18 US mpgs combined so 21.6 UK mpg Surely the only problem is range, which at 380miles isn't too bad? Only fill up every other week at 10,000 p.a. if you can bare running below 1/4 of a tank.

Mine, albeit a saloon, has averaged 21.6 over the last 2,000 miles with a low of 14.3 and a high of 24. Combined with a relatively small tank it doesn't make for a relaxing long distance cruising machine/

Much fun can be had in it though. smile
