No, it was earlier - the War of the Spanish Succession.

The same treaty that gave us Gibraltar gave us a 30 year exclusive concession on selling slaves to the Spanish Americas. It was taken up by the South Seas Company.

Humans are the only animals on Earth to have a chin (sticky-out bone).

Humans are the only animals on Earth that cannot look directly (without harm) at the sun.

This leads some to theorize that humans originally came from another solar system and are not native to Planet Earth.

A lack of "astonishing facts" here.

Have another from me, its real life but bizarre by any measure:

Many Koreans believe that if you fall asleep with a fan on in the bedroom, and the windows and doors are closed then you will die in the night.

Reasons for death range from asphyxiation to hypothermia, strangely no-one can pin this down.

More amazingly, the government are on board with this - check the lower half of this wiki page under "South Korean Government"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan_death

The mind boggles.

The Grand range starts at 150k, the 2.5 million one was a special one off.

One year build - I'd agree with that give or take a couple of months.

£2.5 million each?? Not sure what you are smoking but it must be good stuff.

A Model B grand will set you back £100K +/- 20% dependent on materials/spec.

Where did £2.5million come from rofl

Some 'Americanisms' that drive PH to distraction e.g. sidewalk, trash, garbage, gotten, to wait on rather than to wait for, fall rather than autumn, are more 'original' English than their current English equivalents.
