Stand closer to the toilet, it's not as big as you think.

Inspirational acts motivate others to inspirational acts.

Inspirational words motivate others to go "Yeah, that's good that is"

Win or lose, have a booze.

With a son you only have one prick to worry about. With a daughter you have everybody else’s prick to worry about.

The only two bits of advice my dad's ever given me.

1. You can't trust a scouser.

2. Always go for a piss just before you leave the pub.

Reminds me of an old joke.

Two kids in the bath together when the boy points to his crotch and exclaims to his sister "I've got one of these and you haven't".

The sister points to her own crotch and replies "but I've got one of these, and with one of these I can get as many of those as I want".

Never buy the cheapest, and never buy the most expensive.

And this one, although I'm in no position to use it yet: Your job as a father is to stop your daughter having a career dancing on a pole.

Rent depreciating assets
A common one but utter nonsense. Do people renting things commercially really kindly absorb the depreciation for you? Seems a little unlikely. biggrin

No, but your costs are fixed, and you have no equity tied up. The depreciation is not guaranteed so the renters are carrying risk
Think about all those diesels on a lease at the moment and which way that might go.

But there are of course still good and bad deals before you start as well as afterwards.
