3 here too. All boys, All 2 years apart. Now 28,26,24. Wouldn't change it for the world. Fantastic little gang, great when growing up, looking out for each other, playing and falling out etc etc.

No car issues with 3, it's 4 or more that force you into the dreaded 7 seater.

Cost for number 3 is much lower as there is a lot of fixed cost that is amortized over 3 rather than 2, just throw another spud into the pan and it's all good smile

All grown up into nice lads, all different, but special to me and Mrs. Bigmowley.

I'd say go for it and spread the love!

You'll be changing from man to man marking, crossing to zonal marking. <shudder>

Thank god we had one of each and could stop!
And then one might be the danger man and need man marking! Leaving one to do their best with the others,
Probably the middle one.

A friend of mine always says one child is storing up only child issues, two is twee and four is just flaunting your fertility.

We both have the same number of children. You can guess the rest.

Yeah go for it.

Ive got three children and I'd have more - but I'm 44 now and wife is 41 so it's a bit risky.

I see what you mean about getting your life back - the first couple of years are the most burdensome

The thing is - what are we here for in life? Take away all the cars and houses and it all comes down to having a great family and great times together (well that's what I think, but appreciate not everyone will feel the same)

So its happening then?

Personally 2 is more enough for me.. 3 would break me. I'd be running for the divorce thread if.... Good luck with it. Enjoy the ride wink

Blimey Yipper, I actually agree with you!
I don’t. If fine upstanding PHers like the OP (and me) stop having children, we will have an aging population (you) being supported by the feckless and unemployed - who are the ones having loads of children at the moment.

You need to encourage people with jobs and social responsibility to have children to pay for our retirement and look after/defeat the robots when they try and take over.
More growth, more people, more consumption! It's all good! hehe

We have 4 and are trying for another.

OTOH I have a fairly decent job. On the other hand I'm still perpetually broke biggrin

However, afaic, it's the best thing in the world. For me personally (and fortunately my wife) there is absolutely nothing which makes us as happy as our kids do. There are ups and down but for us, it's 99% up, 1% down.

OTOH a lad I grew up with divorced his wife when they had a young kid, so effectively he's had no paternal responsibilities for the last 25 years. He has roughly 4 holidays a year with his current partner and drives a 911 turbo. He also has several BTLs and is planning on retiring at 50.

There are ~7,000,000,000,000 people and ~10,000,000 robots on Earth and growing like wildfire and Western families really shouldn't be adding to the impending overpopulation. One or two kids is plenty. If you have a gap in your life, get a hobby.
What the fk have ROBOTS to do with this thread ???
Someone explain , please .
I was wondering that
