It's friday so why no.
How many miles do you do each year and how.

Commute, for fun.

I have picked 2000-3000 I don't often do more than 3k as i have a few other toys (kit car etc) which I also use throughout the summer

For me biking is a hobby and fun so I don't get much fun riding in the cold and wet.

So normally ride from about March until Oct or when it gets cold and nasty out there. But if their is a good day I may venture out

Gavia.

Bit of a crap year really on the bike front

I managed probably between 2-3000. A mixture of commuting, 600 miles on the new bike and a few days trackwork

5-10K miles ...usually including a week or two of touring holiday in there. All pleasure miles, no commuting. Ride all year round, weather dependent

300 or so miles in 2017. Children and work.. totally get in the way of stuff.

60 or so already this year, all off-road.

I seem to do fewer and fewer each year. The Fireblade has managed 1,359 miles since April and the Mugabe Twin has done 1,111 (woo!) since September.

Around 6-7 hundred miles on track, just over 5 thousand miles on the MT 10, about 1 thousand on the 125 and about 50 miles on my 50cc moped.

Over the last 20 years I've averaged around 300.

I don't go out if it's cold (under 65F) or wet or even if it looks like rain.

Been there, done that years ago...no thanks.

When I do venture out I enjoy it though.

Amazing people say kids get i the way of riding. Passed my Test when my eldest was 3. now 15. youngest in now 12.

Never got in the way of me riding. Weekend or weekday I have off. make sure we have nothing on and go out for a day or half day.
I understand if single parents it's harder. And other situations etc
I have the TT booked with mates this year for a week. A week touring the Wild west in Oct.

I'm glad you didnt have the issues that we have had to put up with over the last year. Not everyone is graced with an easy start to life, or subsequent years.

Sorry, but this has really irked me.

2017 was a f**king terrible year for my son and my family. Whilst i wanted to escape, it was not always possible.

I don't ride in the Winter as I've recently learned I can't get the bloody bike out in the frost. I do about 5,000-8,000 miles.

I ride quiet scenic roads. My shortest run is via the Borders and about 100-200 miles, so I'm often at St. Mary's Loch for a bacon roll before heading onwards. For a full day I tend to head into Perthshire, the West coast, or the Southern Highlands. I do about two 1,000 mile plus runs around Scotland, but the popularity of the NC500 has forced me into more rural areas these days.

So big runs around Scotland is all I do really. So much so I've got an adventure bike, which I'm hoping won't prove to be a total waste of money.

(This obviously isn't my "adventure" bike)

Last year lowest ever miles - birth of my son massive contributing factor here. Between MOTs the mileage tells me 2300 miles approx 99% of those all Zone2 to Zone1 Central London commuting 14 miles per day (7 each way). I think I had one weekend where I used the bike for fun and that was for WSB at Donnington as my mate had got us free tickets through a competition win.

Bob not meant it irritate you mate.

Was more about personal experience with friends who ride or don't much . Everyone has their own reasons for not riding much or at all.

No dramas buddy. All good banter. You are right, i should sell it.. Gavia said it was a waste when i bought it.. (i think he meant the high performance bike vs summer superhero...). But, then i ride it and i forget about all the issues and problems and it is totally worth it. :-)
