Hey guys, starting this thread for my Honda Civic EK4 Jordan. Not sure what I'm gonna do with it, could keep it for a bit and keep it standard and let it appreciate or I could stop resisting the urge to modify it and have a fiddle. So, the car, it's a 1999 (V reg) Civic VTI-S Jordan. It's got what I think is FSH, 79k on the clock, completely standard at the moment (I find it pretty mental that the strut brace bolts still have yellow on the threads and the airbox hasn't even been removed) I'll probably end up modifying it a bit, but I don't think I'll go too crazy, definitely not gonna be going full "race car". I'll get some photos up asap, Cheers.

There's a few on ebay at the moment, with less miles than mine (somehow, must have been garaged ALL their life). Ones at 38k for £10,950, almost twice what i paid for mine, and another's at £8950 with 50k on the clock

Here's some pics:

this is in the lock up/unit of the guy I bought it from,
he's a specialist dealer of Jap cars, had some cool stuff, and a bit of a Honda nut too.
apparently my camera didn't wanna focus on this photo Bay shot. frosty,
earling morning photo, just because. unmolested,
nice condition airbox as previously mentioned, yellow strut brace bolt threads.

only paid £6500 for mine so got a bit of a steal I think, should make me some money in the long run if i can keep it nice. Arches are pretty much mint, bumpers wouldn't mind a respray, rocker cover could do with a paint and so could the heat shield on the manifold and there's a bit of surface rust in the spare wheel well but I still think I got a bit of bargain.

While I applaud you buying it, I can’t see you making a fortune on it. It isn’t anything more than a VTI in a pretty colour (with a slightly questionable interior!)

They do look ace, but an EK9 is a better buy and would hold the value better IMO.

Personally I’d be keeping this standard and mint and looking after it, whilst it may not appreciate a fortune it will always be a cool reminder of times gone by in Honda history.

Oh and it's got the optional rear wing, which I don't think many cars have, at least I'm yet to see another Jordan with one on anyway. apologies for the photo in the dark, it's the only one I have of the back end.

Yeah I agree there, personally as long as it doesn't half in value over 2/3 years, I think I'll have got a good deal out of it. The interior is definitely what you could call questionable. If I'm perfectly honest, I'm just happy I've got what I see as a cool car!

If it were me, I'd modify it, but only in ways that are totally reversible, and I'd keep all the original bits.

that's actually what I meant by modifying it was gonna do just simple things, wheels, maybe some 30mm springs, really fancy a gearknob and a steering wheel though, not a fan of the oem stuff, and id love an intake, if I can take the oem one off without breaking it. Would love some spoon mirror glass too but it may leave a residue on the oem glass so kinda talking myself outta that one. IMO it could do with an EK9 wing too but thats far from no.1 on the list.

I can't see the pictures, but well done on finding a standard one. The interior on these is not great, but a nice rare car regardless. It would be an easy mod to put EK9 Recaro seats in and pop the standard items into storage until sale time.

Nice car! I'd like a nice EK9 again but quite rare to see any for sale these days

Used to have one of these. Never modified. Lovely cars. Always breaks my heart to see them with cheapo mods that you shouldn't even do to a base-spec model let alone a rare one.

yeah definitely don't intend on doing cheapo mods, at least if you and me think of the same things as cheapo mods, save up for premium stuff or don't bother imo. don't intend on tacky stuff either, just general cleaning up and tasteful tarting up I think along with functional mods like tyres and brakes (oem brakes are really quite good, as good as my mates stripped out EBC Greenstuff shod 182, but have a soft initial pedal feel)

EK9/DC2 Recaro's are a lot of money imo, and my childhood years of hillclimb/sprint event with my dad tell me that it's full buckets or nothing haha! Also quite like the idea of clubsport style stuff so wouldnt mind some Pole Positions if i can get a deal on some or Corbeau Club Sports if not. Thinking of also getting an oem EP3/DC5/DC2/EK( steering wheel and having it retrimmed in alcantara but we'll see, after all a Motacorsa undished wheel is readily available for less than <£100.
