If you want to feed animals the by-products of crops for human consumption then fine, I can appreciate that it will improve the efficiency.

But that's nowhere close to the level of feed needed to sustain modern farming methods and expected productivity.

So again, you've made a statement of fact. Prove it. Efficiency is one of the most logical arguments for lower meat consumption simply because it is quantifiable.
My "proof" if you will, is the first line of your post. You have already conceded the point, so what is there to prove?

I didn't mention expected productivity, or modern farming methods, that's your straw man.

Prove that it provides best efficiency.

Is it more efficient to use the by products of human consumption crops for animal feed, or is it better out to use as fertiliser or energy from waste to grow more crops?

Prove it. You keep making grand statements of fact with no reference.

What's your position on Badger culls? Reintroduced apex predators?

Again, I'm not vegan.
A life time of first hand experience helps.

What is your agricultural experience?

A life time of proving that experience is usually an excuse for lack of evidence and ignorance of the truth.

The evidence is all around me and so is the truth, I see it every day.

You're welcome to come and view it too. I bet you don't leave this farm with the same ignorance you show on this thread. When do you want to come?

You think I've never been on a farm!? Lol

So how are you going to prove that the managed pasture captures more CO2 than forestry?

How are you going to prove that your business model isn't dependent on a lack of predators in the environment?

Or that your silage emissions are more than 'simply grass'?

I'll visit your farm in the summer holidays if you like. Where too?

1) What experience of farming do you have

2) Natural England told me last year. Woodland also won't feed our growing population.

3) Not sure what this has to do with anything. All the food you eat has had predators controlled. What do you think pesticides are? Or is it only fluffy lovely animals that are equal to humans?

4) Not sure what you're on about, but if you can find any silage effluent here I'll give you the farm.

Lancashire. Although you've ignored all the facts I've given you so far, so come with an open mind or don't waste your time.

That vegans like to support their argument with statistics. Usually from people who are vegans themselves, thereby validating their argument - see VeganGains on youtube for example.....

Here's the thing, so you're a vegan, good for you and i'm happy you've found something you are passionate about.
I on the other hand am happy with my choices, so be a good sort and leave me to my choices yeah? Thanks awfully.

Farmers eh. Fecked up thier environment so they can grow loads of stuff. They have no idea about nature. Flatten it all, feck up the soil so it behaves like a junkie wanting it's poison fix ,to perform fantastically no matter what the cost.

Makes it sound like the country need em and they are doing us all a favour by producing ste.

Yes it's a business just like any other. But it ends there. Keep it in the family and protect the wealth.

I love the fact that we have a supposed non vegan arguing with a life long farmer about statistics on what the farmers farm does or doesn't produce, at the end of the day everyone needs to eat, whether you want to chew on vegetables or a nice juicy steak someone somewhere needs to grow it, that'll be the farmers then, so arguing the toss over how, where and by whom it's produced and the impact of its production really is a moot point!!!
By the way this is tomorrow night's tea,
LUSH!!!!

Oh gee, what am I to do?
The meat looked okay to me, now I’ve got no idea where I am on the social scale,
am I a peasant, or just someone who like a bit of meat?

Jiebo, you are indeed an obnoxious fkwit, there's nothing wrong with our choice of food, not everyone shops at Harrods, and for your narrow minded information, we can buy and eat whatever we damn well want!!!
