Categorising an entire group of people based entirely on their skin colour is the very definition of racism.
Erm, no it isn't. We're all categorised by our skin colour - black, asian, white, etc....This is the very definition of racism
"prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior."

I would agree but you need to look beyond the basic comment. If someone genuinely finds a skin colour unattractive regardless of how an individual looks beyond that then they aren’t per se being racist it is potentially just how they are. I’m sure there are plenty of people who don’t have a racist bone in their body but genuinely don’t find dark or light skin attractive in a partner. Blaster72 said:

Meh, at least you have a chance of being comfortable in aeroplane seats.
I was going to say this. Being 6ft 5, I struggle when I fly (which, to be honest, is quite rarely). To try and be comfortable, I have to pay for extra leg room seats. These come at a premium price. Therfore, I'm being discriminated against because I'm tall.
I want compo.

Would a gay man saying he doesn't find women sexually attractive be classed as a sexist. After all, you're discarding half the population based purely on the fact that they are women. Isn't that is the definition of sexism?
Now maybe you can see how ridiculous that sounds.

Someone should be allowed to say they don't like black/white/skinny/fat people. What's wrong with that? You aren't actually saying nasty. Likewise, someone should be allowed to say they don't like short or tall people.
Exactly, but they're not allowed. Only shortSomeone should be allowed to say they don't like black/white/skinny/fat people. What's wrong with that? You aren't actually saying nasty. Likewise, someone should be allowed to say they don't like short or tall people.
The problem with stating you don't like a particular colour person whether it be black/ white or other is probably more of a sweeping statement.bourne out of ignorance rather than racism.
Stating you don't like all black women is daft (and insert your own choice here) but I'd suggest that most folk would struggle to say that Meghan Markle or Whitney Huston aren't very attractive. Same if you said you don't like white people you might struggle not to fancy Zoe Deschanel or Goldie Hawn for example it just depends on your preferences. It's the sweeping statements that are the problem rather than racism or prejudice IMHO.
I'm sure my Mrs would have preferred that I was taller but I'm lucky if I'm an inch taller than her. Although my height is a part of me I'd hope it would be more my personality traits that attracted her to me rather than my ugly mug.

i am 5'4" . it has not been a problem for me in any area of my life .
the only issue migh be that it takes a little longer to find clothes that fit nicely. even that really only applies to formal clothes. i hate buying clothes or even shopping so that does not impact on me too much.
some people have real issues to deal with , height unless a medical condition is not one of them.

I'm shorter than the average male, not massively but nonetheless shorter.
To my knowledge, it's not held me back in life although I have to admit, it's probably dented my confidence on occasions.
In this age of political correctness, why is it acceptable to insult people who are short?
Almost every time a female is interviewed on a TV dating show (my wife watches them) they say they don't like short men.
They'd get lynched if they said anything about race, religion, weight or disability
Tell me I'm being paranoid shortarse and this is just short man syndrome.
There is a huge amount of academic research out there on this topic. To my knowledge, it's not held me back in life although I have to admit, it's probably dented my confidence on occasions.

Height is the number one predictor (for men) of career, wealth and dating success.
In a nutshell, if you are short (under ~6ft in Western societies), you will make less money in your lifetime, almost never make it to the CEO chair, and have far less sex than tall men.
Men don't like being ruled by short men (because they look weak and command less fear).
Women don't like short men (because they look weak and provide less protection).
It's no coincidence that pretty much every women's dating show or website always wants "tall, dark and handsome" men... and not "short, bald and ugly" men.
Yes, there is the odd Bernie Ecclestone. But they are the exception rather than the rule. Most short men underperform in life.
The only upside is that medium-short men typically live longer than very tall men.
I'm quite short but I think that most of the above is still about attitude. I don't particularly think about height or let it bother me and I don't think it has held me back in any particular way.
Having said that, I am also quite old so didn't really do the online dating thing. A place where you are automatically discounted because of your height may make it more difficult to meet someone I suppose

As usual, you're talking garbage. I'm 6'1. Not overly tall these days, but not short. Years ago I have a boss who was 5'2. He commanded complete respect from all in his team, men and women , because he deserved to be where he was, he was knowledgeable, and knew how to manage people. Height is the number one predictor (for men) of career, wealth and dating success.

There are many stunning women who are around 5ft who wouldn't want to be with a 6'1 man. They'd be happy with a man maybe 5'4-5'7.
