Getting a base 718 for the summer months......strict budget.......what would you spend the £2500 set aside on options wise.....paint colour to be included in the £2500.......what would you have ?

I'd stick with a base colour. PASM, multifunction steering wheel, climate and rear parking sensors (you could add front as well, rear wiper or cruise control and still be just within budget)

I’d skip the multi function wheel, add auto dim lights + rain sensor wipers, smoking package which gives a lid over the centre console box and finishes off the centre console nicely, and the 64 litre fuel tank.

Thats how I would go too but sports exhaust pipes a must.
The others are essential too though except the smoking pack
Get something sold to fund these or cancel Sky.

Parking sensors are a must. PDLS+ is good also. I wouldn't spec sports exhaust on the 4-cylinder models, it'll make the din worse.

I'd take out the heated seats as it's Alcantara not leather, i.e. not too cold in the winter and the engine is right behind you. Boxter or leather I'd leave them in. Otherwise parking sensors, light design, fuel tank, rear wiper, folding mirrors and maybe the 20"s if you ever want to change to n-rated Michelin PS4s smile

For me, I think I'd go with the options that provide the most cosmetic impact - bigger wheels, sports tailpipes, colour and possibly PDSL. I'd avoid the special colours as they are too much, but would juggle the others. The only interior options I'd go for in that price range are smoking package, parking sensors and heated seats.

I'd start with something like this: http://www.porsche-code.com/PJQZM6N8 However, I'd probably spend an extra £1000 and get 20" wheels and PDLS.

Save some money and get 19-inch wheels. Then you can do without PASM.

Although I might swap the exhaust pipes for auto climate. I would obviously prefer both.

I’ll buy a nearly new if all you have is £2500 to pick options. nearly new cars come with quite a few options but unless you must have a new car.. also you should be able to get around 4%. leave if they don’t offer u any

Apart from parking sensors, not much consensus. It really depends on whether form or function is your thing - porsche buyers are a disparate lot.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see the appeal of the sports tailpipes. I have them on my 981 and they add nothing aurally or visually to me.

Interesting exercise. Here's my contribution:

http://www.porsche-code.com/PJ39QCT8

Sapphire Blue Metallic
ParkAssist (front and rear)
Electrically folding exterior mirrors
64 litre fuel tank
Heated multifunction steering wheel
Two-zone automatic climate control
Smoking package
Passenger footwell storage net

£2,404 in options giving a total price of £45,301 for a pretty decent spec. I quite like it but what do you think? Oh wait, you want PDK bangheadcensored

with PDK:

http://www.porsche-code.com/PJYGGQY5

White
PDK argue
Two-zone automatic climate control
Passenger footwell net
£2,539
