Hi Guys,

I have put a deposit down on an Audi S3 2014, it has 51k on the clock and i'm wondering what I need to be looking out for....

I have checked DSG oil change has been done, Cam belt apparently doesn't need doing as it's chain?

Anything else... Any help appreciated.

Regards

Depends on where you live...You could be a prime target for thieves. Obviously I appreciate this is not strictly a mechanical issue though.

Crash damage is the obvious one to look for.

Checking out what you need to worry about before putting a deposit down would be my tip.

Theft. I'm sorry but someone has to say it...

I'm tempted to buy one of these. But an M3, Focus ST3 and an Audi S3 on the drive?

No fking way mate

Without sound like a complete bellend which no doubt I will with this statement... wouldn’t they be more interested in the Porsche Cayman S on the drive?

Gear box? What issues are they? I’m happy they have done the 40k oil check and as far as I’m aware it should be good to at least 100k

Used to work in the trade so I’ve made sure the deposit is refundable subject to viewing the car

You will probably be OK on the theft front with a 3-4 year old S3 that has 50k miles on the clock.

I own one, on a 14 plate with 57k miles

At 38k. DSG oil change and spark plugs
At 3 years, brake fluid, Quattro oil. Major service

Have fun

I was thinking the same thing. Hardly like it’s brand new spanking Audi S3 from factory. I can put it in the garage as well. st state of affairs when we have to consider our car choice because some people ruin it. Can’t let the bds stop you eh!
