I walked the dog at lunch just after our first 'shower' - so little rain fell, but with such large drops that you could see each spot on the ground in the dust
On my way to work there were a few spots on the windscreen but it didn’t amount to anything. We’re now over 7 weeks since our last day with more than 1mm of rain.

Trouble is the spots evaporate before they hit the ground.

Actual rain drops hitting the ground, patio's wet, seeing how water resistant Argos gazebo is.

All the heavy rain North and West of us in Milton Keynes still, and lightningmaps.org has no lightning strikes anywhere in the UK.

What happened to all the thunderstorm warning panic!

There appears to currently be heavy rain everywhere in the UK except for the parts under a yellow warning....

A soft damp mist breezed across the East of Guildford - it more cooled rather than actually made anything genuinely wet.

It appears that most will miss Leicester. The ground is damp, but the rain has now stopped and whilst we might get another bit of drizzle in a couple of hours, that looks to be it.

lawn still parched.

You must have just missed it then, on the east edge of town here and it was monsoon like 30-40 mins ago. Stopped now and still disappointingly muggy.

Rained for about 20 minutes in south Lincolnshire. Garden and road quite wet now. No deluge though.

"Just 50.8mm of rain fell in June and July." Well that's 50.8mm more than here!

Still none here near the forest on the west of Southampton. So dry. Think I might dance in it when it eventually arrives.

Had some light rain in Essex earlier. Clouds are still threatening it but I don't think any more will fall.

Had a decent hours worth of light to moderate rain here in west Worcestershire. No storms or decent cloudbursts, just a simple, summer shower.

Consequently, the cat is being a right pill.....
