Rain!

Honest-to-goodnes, ground-wetting rain!
Same here (Shropshire) for the last half hour or so bounce

Took the dog for a short walk, and both returned wet through! Bloody lovely it was, and the air smelled so much fresher.

Lashed it down over night in S. Devon. Woke up with an absolutely drenched cat on the bed around 3am.

I wouldn't say it's green yet, but the lawn is definitely changing colour.

Frogs and toads out everywhere last night, while it rained. Funny to watch.

A few spots at home, not enough to even wet the grass last night. Drove to work 3 miles away and the roads and grass are wet.

I thought they'd be better. Drove past your way on the A340 last night and it was pretty wet. Looked outside this morning and it barely looks as if it rained.

Decent rain in Oxford yesterday evening for a couple of hours, but nothing more overnight. Guess who got complacent and wore a white shirt for an evening out... hehe

BC often misses out. Last night a heavy squall formed 1 mile to our east after the front passed. I'm convinced our hilltop position prevents storms here. There was heavy rain on 3 sides of us!

Just checked our water butt and it's full again (was 2/3rds full 2 days ago), so we must have had a bit overnight in MK, but grass dry again this morning.

Much Hadham, East Herts here, we haven't had any rain for 6+ weeks. My garden is dead, 100 foot lawn is yellow/dead, as are those of my neighbours. The large stream/small river through the village is all but gone.

My family and I are all a great colour, so some upside.

I've been there in those temps. You stay inside. Almost all houses have air con of some sort so it's cool inside.
If you want to go anywhere you drive in your air conditioned car.

I’m in St. Ives Cornwall and today was a glorious 22 with a slight breeze. Relief from the heat! Perfect cloud9

Now that everything is no longer on fire here, the North West is rather pleasant. I have actually put a sweater on for the first time in months.
