Just approaching Maidenhead.

Masses of lightning and the rain is starting to hammer down.
It hammered down so hard here in Richmond for 20-30 mins street that our street flooded temporarily. All back to normal now but there was a good inch of water across the whole road. When you opened the window you could feel the rush of air being displaced by the rain; it was awesome.

Just had quite a few flashes of lightning and some low distant rumbles of thunder. Seems to have died down now. Had about 20 mins of it.

I'm not exaggerating when I say the thunder, not a big clap, but a slightly distant rumble went on for several minutes, with no pause at all, it just got louder and louder, must have been at least five minutes, and it's still hardly not thundering.

Almost constant lightning!

yes Had music & lights on, blinds down and window open and went to close the window as it sounded like I lived under heathrow- nearly blinded myself.

Good effort but poor compared to July 19 last year .. now that was epic

You could actually read a book by it compared to today where you cannot, at least in Kent

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sh86t2yRTp8

flashes were almost continuous then and were brighter, my camera could not catch all of them.

it was later at night, early morning than this one.

My attempts at videoing it on my camera phone are very unimpressive. It's like the way that LED's seem to twinkle on digital recordings. Lightning in "is fast" shocker! laugh

N13 currently. I’ve never experienced so much intense electrical activity and so little thunder (in London), bizarre and exhilarating! smile

Got a pretty much constant rumble here in Aylesbury. The lightning is also back.

Midlands to Manchester more in line for today... South gets some respite.

Could be quite active again.

Only a little rain in Camberley and a few flashes of lightening that I noticed by 12.30. I then gave up waiting & went to bed. I think Camberley missed all the action last night frown

Seems it stopped on the north Devon border and not wanting to chance the Bristol Channel. Merthyr area got some.

Damp squib.
