Homeless people: I often hear of people who can't get jobs as they have no fixed address. Surely a charity could give them a correspondence address etc?
Some charities are doing exactly this, in fact, but then I guess they are finding hoops to jump through in order to do just that (I don't know what the hoops are)I recall a story where in one town/district they were able to designate that a specific bench in a park/public area had its own postcode for this purpose as well.

Well I haven't always wanted to know it, but for the last few days I have been wondering ... what's happened to Frank ? I do hope he hasn't been deterred from posting by all the ribbing he got.
Maybe whoever was playing him has got bored and moved onto a new persona. HTP99 said:

Has a cinema ever been prosecuted for allowing under age people into a showing?
Our cinema is hot on it, I've been behind "kids" who are collecting pre-booked tickets, they have been asked for id and have ended up having to phone home to get mum to WhatsApp a picture of their passport to them. That thick tt stopped us all from seeing it. fking donut.

Can someone explain to me why there are more and more people doing speakerphone calls while walking - Not Facetime type calls, but loud speakerphone calls?
it's even more annoying that tinny, stty music played at full volume from a phone...
I hate it, I work in a car dealership, people sit in the customer waiting area using their phone this way, I and everyone else don't want to hear one side, let alone both sides of the conversation, it's just typical of the rudeness and disregard for everyone else that a large proportion of the population now have. it's even more annoying that tinny, stty music played at full volume from a phone...
If I get a call and I'm in a relatively quiet area where other people are, I will always try and find somewhere quiet or out of the way to take it, it's the same with people paying for something and rabbiting on their phone the whole way through the transaction........ it's bloody rude.

I totally agree. If you buy a football club, EG Bolton Wanderers, what exactly do you get for your money in terms of assets and income streams?
Probably not a good club to use as an example...It's going to vary wildly from club to club.
Which division is it in, and what does that mean in terms of TV revenues? Who are the sponsors, what do they sponsor, and how long are the contracts? Is the club entitled to its gate receipts, or are they securitised? What is the season ticket book like? Who owns the pitchside advertising rights? What does the balance sheet look like? What are the salaries? What are the player contracts like - eg your star striker gets injured? How much is secured to the bank?
I suspect that for the majority of clubs, it's a bit like the cliche about setting up in motorsports: "How do you make a small fortune in motorsports?" "Start with a large one."
