When my mum and dad reached a similar stage of life (they were taken into care eventually) my sister did pretty much exactly the same thing.
Gave her a proper bking I did. Strange bugger she is, we fell out over a number of things. Not had anything to do with her for a good few years now grumpy

It's true what they say, you can pick your friends but you can't pick your family!!

My mum when nearing the end of her life but still mobile was to be seen wandering about town with her knickers round her ankles. Bless her.

I don't know whether to smile or be sad at that!

Back in the day she would have laughed her head off so that’s what I did

Me & Mrs B went fishing on Windermere a few years back, she drove the boat we hired. Caught a couple of lovely pike we did.

It's just dawned on me we would have been in Cyprus this week. Bugger frown

Anyhow, I've just booked my tickets for Operation Old Girl smile With a bit of luck I'll be staying in the same place as glenrobbo.

Unless either of us gets lost of course. I'll find a handkerchief and draw a sketch map on it.

I was on foot.

Car stops next to me.

"Where's Greenhayes road ?"

No sign of the word "please" or "excuse me ,can you help ?"

It rung a bell but couldn't think where it was at a second's notice.

"Sorry ,I don't know."

Zooms off.

Turns out ,she meant Avenue as road don't exist ,also turns out I bought my yellow RS2000 there ,in 1984 ,did say it rung a bell somewhere.

I'm glad I couldn't remember, manners cost nothing.

She was also driving round the wrong bit of town for said road .or avenue.

Triv score 3/12

In "Barchettas for sale on Ebay " news.

The 13 of last week is now 10 ,the car that had a MOT fail list thicker than the Bible has gone.

Bet he didn't get the 800 he wanted ,I'd have offered less than 1/2 that !

No ,I just like a browse.

I know that any other Fabio will have trouble living up to Fabio numero uno's high standard.

The girl on the telly said there was stable weather on its way. I waited and waited. No stable weather, no hanger weather, no barn weather, nothing. I'll have to write to the BBC.

Just switched on ,weather girl on CH5 didn't use any of those descriptions.

CH5 viewers probably need shorter words.

The weather driving up to Cumbria was bad enough to discourage classic cars. The oldest car we saw was a 1977 Chrysler Sunbeam. The next oldest was a 1990 Audi 80 convertible. The next oldest was ours. Nearly 300 miles and we were in the 3rd oldest car.

The Audi was fab.

I wonder what the weather's like in a stable? It's generally quite dry in our hangar, the roof does leak a fair bit at the far end though. Only when it rains, mind.

No doubt Pushfit could shed some light on the barn business. I believe he has a fairly large one.

I believe that "stable weather" is code for "generally dry with dust motes and horse dung" though just what means is anybody's guess!!!!

Stable weather?

Mare's tails in the sky, white horses on the sea, manely dry, but the bay may be a bit whinney.
Horse chestnuts under the trees.
That's what the meteorologists will be trotting out for the course of next week as they track its' progress as it gallops across the country from point to point.

Of course the neigh sayers will disagree, but they are blinkered.
