I find that the weather girls quite often canter to the wrong forecast, they really should rein it in, it's no good hoofing along regardless of the outcome and saddling us with duff information!!!

He was a funny guy. He said If you looked like he did you would have to be a comedian.

He was indeed. In a similar vein, some time ago Peter Crouch, the tall lanky footballer chap was being interviewed.

The interviewer asked him what would he have been if he hadn't become a professional footballer.

"A virgin, probably"

So here's a question for you chaps, I've got Goodyear Efficientgrips fitted on the Focus and they're good in all conditions, quieter than the Pirrelli's which were on there and better performing, but what tyres do you chaps use on your various cars and which do you find perform best in all conditions?

OK Bobbers, here goes:

I have Dunlop Sport BluResponse on the TVR S1. thumbupdriving

I have Toyo Proxes on the front of the S3c and Kumho's on the rear, as fitted by the previous custodian. These have been OK, but are lower profile than standard, which compromises ground clearance somewhat. These will be replaced soon with the /60 profile Dunlop Blue rinses to reduce the exhaust/speedbump interaction occurrences. irked

The C-Max currently has a mish-mash of DogEar ditchfinders that were on it when I bought it.
I shall probably replace them with Conti's or whatever, as and when they need replacing.
Probably when they reach their 7th birthday, as the likelihood of wearing them out before then is slim as I tend not to use it much for trackdays. driving

I'm very happy with the all-round performance of the Dunlops on road & track and in all weathers. They are great value and I await my sponsorship cheque from Dunlop in the post. wink

Tyre choice is always a compromise ( even top F1 teams get it wrong ) but my advice would be to never ever drive around on tyres older than 7 years, unless you are Charles Bronson. nono

Thanks glenrobbo, I really rate the Goodyears over the Pirrellis but wondered what else was available.

bks. Been parking in a car park for a few years, whenever needing to go into town with my Ms. She has a blue badge and so it's always been free. Last time I used it, I noticed some new bollards but didn't think anything of it, parked like normal (nowhere near any signs) and walked to town (not passing any signs). There's now a letter on my desk that shows it's managed by a new company, who don't actually do blue badge concessions like the old management (who used human wardens)...

Balls.

Fabio now wears 4 Uniroyal Rainsport 3s.

Tyre beards on PH rate them highly.

Honest John in the papers is always pushing Michelin Cross Climates as an all season tyre.

Thanks Peri, have you had a chance to push them at all? The Goodyears will squeal when pushed but don't seem to give up very easily.

I've had the rears on for 16,000 miles and they've never let go ,in all weathers.

Now the 2 new ones are on the rear ,not gone far yet on them.
