Christmas film numero uno......The Great Escape.....

McQueen will make that fence jump ,eventually.
I remember, he jumps the fence in a Mach 1 Mustang with six magnificent friends chasing the baddies in a Dodge Charger through Cincinnati.

Christmas films?

I remember way back in the mists of time that the Christmas film on the television was always "High Noon". A festive treat. Every year. And there was no other TV channel to view.
I cannot think of any more appropriate film that conveys the true meaning of Christmas than two cowboys shooting at each other in a gun duel in the intense dusty heat of a blazing hit day in the wild west. The unbearable tension. The intense hatred. The warring factions. The tears and raw emotional outbursts. Yep, that's Christmas in a nutshell.

Except it is missing the symbolic llamas and flamingos.

Talking of duels, nothing much seems to be happening on the teaspoon thread.
Is ApOrbital still sitting in his tree?

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without 2001 - A Space Odyssey, Bullitt and Mary Poppins.
Don't forget the Christmas Chainsaw Massacre. Santa goes wild with some naughty, naughty children.

Preparing bulk meals in a zero gravity environment often has that effect, Pushfit.

Just take your protein pills and put your helmet on.
And may God's love be with you.

... This is Major Bomm to Ground Control,
I'm stepping through the door,
And I'm floating in a most peculiar way...

I'm not really, I'm sitting in my chair having a nice cup of tea and a bit of Shortbread.

Well, I'm back anyhow. What the thump's happened to the weather? I got off the aircraft at Luton and very nearly got straight back on again.

Mind, if I had have done the bugger would probably have been re-routed to Oslo grumpy

. Excellent stuff, much appreciated old chap.

I heard something on the wireless a couple of days ago about 'Stormin' Deirdre'? Can't say I've heard of her before, she certainly sounds a bit of a handful.
I wonder if she was related in any way to the late Norman?

Thanks old boy wavey

No, nothing to do with Aphrodite's lot. Blimey, if they had weather like this over there I reckon they'd pull the bloody anchor up and shift the island a bit nearer the equator.

It's neither immoral nor illegal but it is possibly fattening.
