Anybody seen any Google/Nest products reduced?
Doubt you ever would as Amazon hate Google and refuse to stock most google products in the first place.

Google products would be in direct competition with Amazons own Alexa/Firestick/Kindle ecosystem, so even if they did stock them they wouldn't be inclined to discount them.

I’ve been reluctant to shell out for a mesh system, having paid £120 a pop for rental properties earlier in the year.
The same system has come up now for £95 so grabbed one. TP-Link Deco S4:

I hovered over this too but genuinely couldn't see a need for it. It's rare we have local network issues these days

Think that's what the g/f bought a few months back - it was certainly one of the TP-Link ones, and it solved her network problems completely.

Just got Samsung Galaxy Buds Live for £80 and it says I can claim £40 cashback from Samsung.

Seems a good deal for something I don't really need biggrin
Now look what you've made me do!?! I got a set too hehe .

I'm tempted by those earbuds, £40 if the cashback tracks is an amazing deal.

Noticed an offer (may be account specific) where if you top up £50 for a Amazon gift card they will credit you an additional £7

The free £7 top up thing worked for me, thank you!

I went to my account, and then "Gift Cards and Top Up".

The offer was a banner there, which I registered for then topped up £50.

A few minutes later my balance was £57.

Thanks!

Well I stand partially corrected, I say partially, only 2 cameras discounted and they still only stock a token amount of Google/Nest devices - only the basic Chromecast, no current model nest hubs, no smart speakers, no nest doorbells etc (IE they don't stock devices that compete with their own products)

Almost no Chromecasts though & none with Google TV.

Man. I'm regretting getting involved in this now.

I have a perfectly good set of Anker Soundcore Pro ear buds which still amaze me with the range of sound they can produce but still I'm drawn to MORE earbuds for no reason whatsoever.

I'm in my office looking around at things that emit sound and trying to talk myself into it. I'm surrounded by sonos, B&O, Bose.

Clearly I need a set of new ones to play music while I don't use the resistance band thingies i bought when I last seen a deal.

I always seem to end up buying another Alexa device on prime day, but there's now one in the kitchen, living room, dining room and bedroom.

I'm not allowed 'listening devices' in my home office, so I'll probably abstain this year.

And me, been considering some for a while and with the additional cash back it's a bit of a bargain. I went for white, would have preferred black but i'm not fussed enough to pay more for the colour.

Just scrolling through the endless list of Prime offers and seeing all the cheap Chinese tat it doesn’t surprise me one bit that some of it ends up in landfill.
It was decent enough a few years ago, when the majority of stuff was sold directly by Amazon, however these days most of it is junk from third party sellers that you can buy cheaper from AliExpress. They still do the Alexa "deals" of course.

Having just seen the news it seems that hanging around certain council tips will yield some nice gear.
It’s a crazy world when Amazon can dump so much gear. Actually it’s a crime against the planet.
Gggrrrr etc.

So the world’s number one money making machine dumps goods that are uneconomical to repair/ repackage etc but the world’s number 2 loss making machine thinks it can do better.
This isn’t going to end well.
The government will put up a few million as an initiative to give deprived children free lap tops, only to abandon it a couple of years later after delivering a few hundred lap tops that have cost about £20k each.
I think this has been blown out of all proportion. It’s a tiny % age of their turn over and the price we pay by getting everything made in China, ie it’s not repairable.
People would moan if Amazon paid such bad wages that it was feasible to have a vast team sorting and recycling.
The whole thing smells of a disgruntled employee getting some revenge.
BTW I’m not an Amazon fan. rarely use them and have no connection with them.

If anyone's interested there is a lightning deal on a Shark cordless stick vacuum, anti hair wrap, pet hair. 199.99 from 399.99 checked on camelcamelcamel.

It's the single battery version if that's an issue.

I'm trying my hardest to NOT buy anything from Prime day. I don't need anything. I've got 4 echo dots and an input. And a whole world of plugs. And bulbs. Nope. Do not need.

Maybe some Lego. I like those Galaxy earbuds (I've already got 2 pairs of buds...)

I went for some wireless headphones for the Xbox (Turtle beach stealth 700 gen2). £59 (reduced to £69 plus a £10 voucher for buying from a small vendor last week).

I play Rocksmith a lot and usually end up looking like a spaghetti monster with the wires all over the place hehe
