So I'm after a bit of advice, loading my blackbird into the mechanics van this evening, the ramp slipped out from under the rear wheel, with the bike beaching on the rear sill of the van.

I've asked him to check it over very carefully, but where should I be looking when it comes back for damage or problems?

I would be looking very carefully around his rear bumper and rear valance area to make sure its not caused to much damage to his van and then hope he will except beer tokens for any damage .

For clarity, my mechanic was doing the loading not me.

Check the exhaust for being crimped or damaging the seal between headers and exhaust, any exhaust valves, etc

And then look for a new mechanic. hehe

I'll wager there'll be no damage to the bike, the van might have suffered a bit hehe

smile . That's where I'd start, it won't have done much.

I’ve done this. T- cut to buff out fairing scrapes. It’ll be fine.

Harsh responses likely linked to the OP’s subordinate phrasing
