Hi

Seem to remember a little while ago that the proposal/prospect of a Northern Wedge Sausage Meet was raised.

Did this ever happen ?

The reason I ask is that as R.O. for TVRCC Tees Valley Region I have received an e-mail from Gillian Caldicott, from
The Waterwheel Tea Room & Bistro, Howden, East Yorks, offering the facility for a meet up venue.
Its not in our region but just wondering if this was the first proposed/same venue as I can't locate the thread.

I did reply as being interested if we were not in Fance rebuilding entente cordial.

The waterwheel is a great venue and encourages car clubs.
And it's only half an hour from me.....

Sorry Simon, wasn't looking to dump this on anyone, just following up a previous thread and an e-mail contact from Gillian at The Water Wheel.

But as ever if its on, I don't mind a nice long 150 mile return drive every now and then.

The Northern sausage meet didnt happen this year, I was suggesting having it at Taffo`s place near Haworth (https://www.moorlodgeeatery.co.uk/ )
but life got in the way a bit and I didnt get it organised. I still want to do this, and I think he is still up for it so I might see if we can get one in before the winter, see how much response we get and go from there

Thanks for the clarification.

I would have loved to kick start this event but we are not back in UK until 18th Sept.

Then we have the Rusty Nail Run on 21st, family time, kids birthdays, family (temperance) wedding, own & wife's birthdays, TVR Whitby Fish & Chip/Goth Run (28.10.18) all before 11th Nov.

If it does happen in 2018 I'll do my best to join in.

There is also The Stockyard Truck Stop, Rotherham, where South Yorks TVRCC hold their meets

Well, Well, Well

Time passes .... I've had 2x new knees and feel the need to resurrect this thread.

How about a Northern Sausage meet in March/April 2020.

The Stockyard Truck Stop, Rotherham, S66 8HN still seems to be a good, central(ish) venue.

I know it's early, but;-

ANYONE INTERESTED ?

best make it April as I'm organising the Cobweb Run for (most likely) Sunday 22 March 2020 on North Yorkshire Moors

About 100 miles from here so quite "do-able" on a nice day smile.

Just one question, what is a Sausage meet?

If it's Northern, surely it's a Black Pudding meet (or if too Northern, a lorne sausage meet!)

For Northern surely it should be north of the M62

Think we need a West country meet. We can eat pies and drink rough cider, for breakfast.
